Council meeting for Mark and I

Ah, ok. So SISU are saying that ‘if’ we committed to a 10 year deal (for example) Wasps would have the option of booting us out instantly if they decided we’d done something that broke the clauses wasps want inserted? Like you say, I guess we’ll never know the detail.

Council meeting for Mark and I

I’m not arguing with you here, but how does that fit with SISU’s assertion that “it would threaten the very existence of the club”? And their statement that they’ve signed an agreement not to take future legal action? Or are we back to the semantics of what constitutes legal action?

Doubtful we will attending matches this side of Xmas

Still plenty of time for me to get shot down for it! Only posting what I’ve read, not saying it will happen, is happening or frankly have any opinion on it at all other than hoping it happens. It would need to get mild enough to not cause long-term consequences as well before we could go back...

Doubtful we will attending matches this side of Xmas

Well put! Which would end up being a relatively easy way out of it all. The article I was reading was also saying there was a hypothesis that the existing coronaviruses (the ones that cause the common cold) may have evolved in a similar way. Was a ‘proper’ study in which they traced the...

Doubtful we will attending matches this side of Xmas

Yeah I read something about that. Suggesting it could mutate into something akin to the common cold and that’ll be it from then on. Think the logic is viruses don’t want to kill the host as it limits their spread, so they evolve to become less deadly but more infectious.

Doubtful we will attending matches this side of Xmas

It’s going to be great fun on social media when / if there is a vaccine. I’ve already seen things suggesting governments are going to ‘tag’ the population with a chemical signature for monitoring purposes. :ROFLMAO: If a vaccine candidate passes phase III clinical trials, sign me up.

Council meeting for Mark and I

Tempted, but then I remembered this was a thread about the stadium / council / Pete & Mark’s meeting, so an argument about the Labour Party and antisemitism probably won’t contribute much that’s constructive.

    Baka

Think we should task Kelly with giving him a wedgie in the tunnel on the way out every game. Get him fired up, he’s a beast when he’s angry, but too much of a nice guy to show it usually.

    Baka

It’s also entertaining that when we were in L1 he wasn’t considered good enough by lots of our fans, and now we’re in the Championship he’s league 1 level. I don’t personally see Baka as direct competition for Godden, more a different option. Horses for courses. We need options.

    Baka

I think this sums up the whole Baka situation. He’s got the physical attributes you want in a lone striker and definitely has something, but he needs to believe in himself a bit more. I think he’s a carrot rather than a stick kind of guy. Despite being physically capable of wiping out most...

    What you will!

    Wolves v Coventry

Don’t they just need a mask, clean hands, no temperature, a notepad and pencil and somewhere to stand out of the way? I get what you mean though, probably just that as opposed to Balotelli getting a few sneaky minutes in his legs ;)

Also no media there, make of that what you will.

    Transfer Rumour Jonathan Panzo

Apologies for the source, but the keegan thing was real, apparently. And Pirlo.. https://www.coventrytelegraph.net/sport/football/football-news/pirlo-keegan-francis-coventry-citys-11585593

    Transfer Rumour Jonathan Panzo

Didn’t we turn Kevin keegan down for being too small many years ago? Or was that just a playground urban myth?!

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

To be honest, I dislike wasps due to the way they carry about their business. They don’t seem to care about collateral damage as long as they achieve their aims, and the way they achieve those aims appears ‘ethically’ questionable at times. I’ve known plenty of people like that in life, they...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

I dunno, but it really doesn’t feel like the council have supported either team recently and it would have been interesting if they had. Supporting might mean not bringing in a third party, negotiating a favourable rent when we were on our knees, stuff like that. Anyway, not looking to go over...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

Fucking hate rugby, but feel a bit for CRFC as they tend to be forgotten about in all this, whereas in reality what CCC did to them was as disrespectful to one of Coventry’s historic sporting institutions as what they did to us, more so in some ways. At least Milton Keynes didn’t already have a...
