As others have said the thing with binning him off is his contract. If he was a divisive character in the changing room, maybe there would be a reason, but we’re told the players all like him as a person, just not as a player. Therefore he’s unlikely to have a negative effect by us keeping hold...

Most experienced, best leader and organiser, surprisingly good range of passing on him (the long diagonal he’s pretty good at) but prone to the odd clanger. I would say currently most influential defender, if not necessarily the best technically. His experience is massive this season.

Your pre-match comments were spot on tbf, we weren’t at our best today but suspect your style of play caused that to some extent (although our passing was sloppy at times without being pressed).

Fair result. Their pressing game doesn’t make for much of an interesting spectacle, but effective in stopping teams. If they could score goals they’d be good.
