Coventry City staring into Football Abyss

My issue isn't loans, plenty of teams have profited with them, or short term contracts, not ideal but now a modern trend. My issue is how we have crumbled beyond belief. Now I have no time for sisu, parasites in my opinion but our slump lies at one door, the manager's nowhere else, he picks the...

Chris Stokes off to the Championship

Don't worry Anderson will have him pencilled to raise a few thousand in a year or two, another sisu dip into the piggy bank

Coventry City staring into Football Abyss

A threat ? Different sport, pretty much a different fan base, fail to see the threat to be honest. Plenty of other football and rugby teams co-habit with no problems

Coventry City staring into Football Abyss

If I was Everton I would go for Adam Armstrong instead wouldn't cost a fortune and with Newcastle almost certain to be relegated difficult for them to resist and good for Armstrong too.

Coventry City staring into Football Abyss

Well in my opinion that article is pretty accurate. We have owners putting little or nothing in, tell us we need 11000 to break even then alter that three quarters through the season by 25% and every 18 months or so cash in a starlet for a few million, win win for them isn't it

    Formation.

One thing for certain the current system ain't working, well it isn't from the view from the Tesco stand, must be different from the dug-out !

    Aaron Martin

Although injury prone over the years Johnson's injury this time was a freak one. Can't see him costing anymore this season than last and to replace would cost a bit, so on that basis I would keep him another season, he is good player and left sided, think we only have Stokes who is a left footed...

Why did Waggot leave City ?

Waggott was a gob shite clever at saying what people like to hear, Anderson is simply dangerous.

    Bassala Sambou

Absolute no brainier for the lad, Everton have a good track record for snapping up starlets and getting them up to scratch look at Jon Stones and if it doesn't quiet work out there there is a load of pro clubs in and around merseyside at all levels to move onto, fair play to him I say.

    Should Oggy be released?

Konstantopolis was always a good keeper, he had one of those times were every little error ended up a goal but his record before and since he was here proves he was okay. As for Oggy not being goalie coach what was he then ? He was here

The 3 teams coming down from the Championship

Club to watch next season should they come up is Bristol Rovers currently fourth. I believe they have a new mega rich owner investor who had vowed to take them all the way to the top, but I wouldn't worry about it Otis old lad with our present set-up we will do will to emulate this season.

What was this too many loans on teamsheet all about ?

Bit odd though, not like being in a cold car park at Sowe Common on a wet and windy Sunday morning scribbling a team on the team sheet on a car bonnet is it. I assume being pro football there will have been a pre-match meal, team meeting to discuss opposition tactics collectively, individually...

What was this too many loans on teamsheet all about ?

Missed most of the spiel yesterday before and during the game but picked up we almost had too many loanees on the sheet and at the last minute one, Maddison I believe having to drop out, What's that all about then ?

    Should Oggy be released?

What difference does a goalkeeper coach make to the results, team selected, system we play and tactics. I still fail to see this surge in Steve Ogrizovic must go mantra almost every time we lose a match. I don't know if Oggy is great keeper coach or not, I know he was a great goalkeeper though...

Victim of a Plague of Ghosts?

It wasn't the selling of Maddison, it was the timing of that sale. Had we sold him and immediately bought two or three and banked the bulk of the fee we would properly of accepted that situation, has happened for years, Maddison was always on the move

Victim of a Plague of Ghosts?

Mowbray dictates the system we play, that system clearly doesn't/isn't working not in this division. Grendel has a point with his assessment of Tony Mowbray. Do I think he should be sacked though ? Since he took the reins proper last summer he and Venus have put scouting networks in place none...

    Mowbray needs to go

My beef with Mowbray is the system he sees as the way forward. We are not scoring goals, we are hardly creating chances, get very few crosses into the box and when we do we don't get anywhere near enough bodies in the area. Also he sets up with 4 at the back and 2 in front of them which...

    Bassala Sambou

I meant some club of that ilk who have become bigger than a one time top division outfit of 34 years when one club didn't exist and the other was way down the football pyramid.

Huge uphill task for Mowbray next season?

And it is a bit, it should be packed, I bet Leicester's is !
