    Pete from Stivicale yet again

I did know jimmy hill. he would have approved of protests etc but not those that actually interfered with the football on the pitch.

Millwall stadium wrangle sparks split among Lewisham Labour councillors Millwall admit council scheme could force club to leave Lewisham Also something ironic about a labour council wanting to work with an off-shore company.

    What's your tipping point?

What makes the Millwall situation unpleasant is the fact the development company involves several current and former council employees.

    What's your tipping point?

no coincidence that the Guardian has been on this story for a while much like they were with ours. Probably the only newspaper that realizes there is football outside the Premier League.

    What's your tipping point?

That Millwall situation is a disgrace. Let's hope football as a whole shows a bit more solidarity with them than they have done with us.

    What's your tipping point?

It will always be my club. Would have no interest if it moved and wouldn't support another club. Would rather get involved with a local league club. The family was always Coventry City. Grandfather took me up first in 1974. Half the families down our street seemed to go - mind you this was when...

    What's your tipping point?

always be my club. but not the be-all it used to be. there isn't the sense of connection there used to be. part of it started when the group I used to go with from an early age (in the 80s) just started giving up and doing other things. kids lost enthusiasm for it. all started around...

    Cost of Sales

Why is Coventrys academy so good?

The youngsters need time to develop. Everyone was calling for Wilson to start when he had a few goals in the U18s. Dowie said he was 18 months from being ready to start which proved to be about right. had the one cup game, maybe a couple of appearances then went out on loan to non-league for...

    Ben Stevenson - Brentford

fair enough. Wrote on here a few days I like the Peterborough model. Openness from top of the club; acknowledgment can't really compete with CHampionship finances,;policy of attacking, entertaining football to at least give the fans something if it isn't able to afford sustained success.

    Ben Stevenson - Brentford

Difference with the Peterborough model is that usually the players they're selling are ones they bought in cheap rather than academy products. Does actually beg a separate question was the scouting system ever sorted out like Mowbray wanted? Weren't we down to one scout or something at the time?

    Cian Harries to Liverpool?

that was true. Was settled here and he was a quiet lad who didn't think he was right for a big club at the time.

    Fisher Yesterday

But it is seen as a viable business plan because they have been able to do it for the last few years. Wilson, Maddison, now maybe Stevenson. These are youth team products who cost basically nothing and were sold on for a prof. They had little book value - as far as I remember players as assets...

    Fisher Yesterday

can't just put a club into administration because it is isn't doing well on the pitch. Breaking even (even with player sales) is still okay from a business perspective and in the eyes of the court. The model shows that as a business they can continue to run by cutting costs to compensate for...
