    January transfer window

He will clearly go on to become a very good player in my eyes but is very wasteful at the moment. He's been much better than Van Aanholt was during his loan here.

    the goals - Eakin

We were spoilt with Rob Gurney for so long. I've warmed to Clive and his Alan Partridge style. Since you can watch the games with the CWR commentary you realise how just how much he gets wrong!

    the goals - Eakin

Misses the best bit where he convinces himself for about 20 secs that Tyler Walker has actually scored the 2nd. To be fair I've thoroughly enjoyed some of his commentary on the goals this season.

    Promotion with Terms

An attacking Premier League loan with pace would be high on the shopping list. Really think it wouks help us kill games off away from home.

    Whatever else happens....

I remember there was period where we never came from behind to win. Seem to recall Lee Hughes scoring twice possibly against Norwich and I'm sure it was the first time we'd won from behind in five years. Even with ten men today and us having been a bit flat the last few games I still believed...

Icing on the cake for Maatsen. Him and Dabo offer absolutely zero threat going forward. Stupid challenge. Pulled down on the guys arm.

I've never said this before... But I think O'Hare will finally score today.

    Swansea (H) - Tuesday 2nd - 19:45

Strange one with Gyökeres and Godden. They have both had decent scoring runs but don't generally seem to play as a partnership. Were miles apart for most of the game tonight and haven't really complimented each other thus far in my opinion.

    Swansea (H) - Tuesday 2nd - 19:45

Huffed and puffed but aside from Hamer the use of the ball is really poor in the final third. O'Hare I find infuriating at times. I lost count of the amount of times his execution of a pass let us down tonight.

    Hull away

Was just thinking of this. Think it was the game Dennis Wise scored an incredible overhead kick. I might be wrong but I had in my head the figure of 212 fans!

    disallowed goal

To be fair it looks marginally offside. Also the Gyökeres penalty incident I'd be fuming if it was given against us. Gyökeres throwing his arms in the air was ridiculous.

    Player ratings vs derby (h)

JCS probably the pick. Hamer also was decent. Dabo's decision making was awful and O'Hare needs to look like he'd like to score the odd goal! Negative substitution killed us. It was like last years set up when Kelly came on. 7 men behind the ball. Sat far too deep and invited pressure.

Match Thread PNE (A) Weds 20th Oct, 7.45

Only positive tonight was that I somehow haven't ended up in the burns unit at Preston Royal Hospital after negotiating the hot water taps in the gents.

Match Thread PNE (A) Weds 20th Oct, 7.45

Thought Maatsen and Dabo were the worst players on the pitch tonight. Was at the game with a Preston fan who said he thought Maatsen looked like a rabbit in the headlights 2nd half. Very few positives overall. Was critical of JCS after Luton but having a left footed centre back on the left gives...

Gyökeres unplayable 2nd half. Also thought Ben Sheaf had a superb 2nd half.

Match Thread Luton (A) Wed 29th Sep. 19.45 ko

Haven't read the thread but the alarming thing tonight was how Luton evidently identified something that Clarke-Salter struggles with. It seemed to be just to get him running towards his own goal. I bet even they couldn't believe how much success they had down him and Maatsen's side. His 1st...

Both. Sometimes O'Hare and a few others don't look like they back themselves.

Match Thread Millwall (A) Match Thread

Millwall possibly edged the first half and are clearly an effective side with two big lumps up front. Thought there was only going to be one winner watching the 2nd half though and that was us. Sheaf and Hamer both did well. Hyam and McFadzean stood up to the aerial assault well and stepped out...

    Bright and Robins

Has anyone watched the interview? In my opinion Robins probably isn't as damning as it may appear when the quotes are written down. Amongst the quotes cited in the article he also says Bright is moving a bit better, something to the effect that his levels are slightly improving. I know this...
