Archer will cost £15-20m I reckon. Will likely end up at Luton, Leicester or Southampton.
Suspect we will try for a permanent LCB. Panzo, Kitching or Cashin. The attacker will be a Premier League loan. Maybe Rak Sakyi.
I can't remember such a poor pre-season in terms of fitness. I know we've had pre-season's before where we haven't won a game. Not sure I can remember a season where barely anyone completed 90mins. Seems like most of the squad could do with at least another 90mins before showing any sharpness.
Name been suggested by a few on here... Charlie Patino going on loan to Swansea. Was never really one I was hoping for. Had a pretty underwhelming loan at Blackpool last year.
A lot of clubs really seem to be struggling to get strikers in at the minute. Feel we timed the Gyokeres sale and getting Simms in perfectly. On the face of it we have three pretty decent strikers all under contract now.
I see a few people have mentioned Robins was at Pride Park for Derby Wigan on Saturday (not sure how true that is). Seen people mention Cashin from Derby but Charlie Hughes at centre back from Wigan looks a fantastic prospect. Possibly a right footer though.
Godden has never been a player whose game has been based on his pace. Not sure I can recall one goal where his pace has got him away from a last man. Still got plenty to offer and will get 10+ goals this season.
We were previously linked with Rak Sakyi from Palace (who was on loan at Charlton last year). Ipswich and Leicester been heavily linked in recent weeks. Apparently Palace are about to sanction a loan deal somewhere.
Think Daniel James had done pictures and an interview with Leeds in house TV crew a few years back then the deal fell through. Liverpool had the same with Fekir years back.
Andy Turner said yesterday that it wouldn't be announced yesterday so I don't think it's a hold up as such. Sounds like it was always the plan to announce today. Probably be 9pm I would bet.
I think if you'd have asked people before the World Cup if they'd have rather had Doyle or Panzo most would have said Panzo. Doyle in the 2nd half of the season benefitted from having McFadzean back and McNally.
Sounds to me like another two are close and could be done by the weekend after Wright. After that we still have weeks left in the window. Will still end up being 8-10 incomings as per Robins comments I reckon.
