    Transfer targets

Agree. Seems a lot of clubs in for this LCB. Kitching, Cashin, Panzo and Humphreys on loan. Suspect we will get one of them. Notice Nixon has a story on us tomorrow.

How many of the 4 will we get?

Genuinely think we will get more than 4

The Barnsley chairman saying they turned down a £3m bid for one of their players and that Kitching is definitely not leaving in this window.

So no one this week then - let’s all batter Saddlebrains

I saw this thread had been bumped... And hoped there had been some update on possible signings. No. Just this.

I remember at the end of the season someone suggested we might have been looking at Ibrahima Kone. Going to Almeria it looks like.

    Transfer Rumour Callum Styles

Saw them linked with Max Bird as well. Generally I think they have been in quite a good market since Jan. Similar to ourselves in many ways. Got money in the bank from Semenyo being sold in Jan and then Alex Scott.

    Transfer Rumour Callum Styles

Was always going to happen that someone would move. Suspect it will be Bristol City as per Nixon's weekend story.

    Transfer Rumour Callum Styles

Sometimes I can't quite understand why this isn't the easiest transfer to close out. £2m is a snip for him. If these clubs are interested in him which I suspect they actually are it's not even like you need to negotiate with the selling club. Just activate the clause and get on with it.

    I want a signing today!

Must be from one of their earlier albums this one

Or Junior Brown and Abu Ogogo (who I was convinced would be brilliant for us)

    Turnstiles/Getting In

Amazed there hasn't been more people kicking off about this today. I got in the queue just before 12pm and was just in the ground for kickoff. There were thousands of people behind me in the queues who would have missed the start. Not really sure why the queues were so big.

    Transfer Rumour Callum Styles

On the face of it £2m for Styles would be excellent business. Only slight question mark would be his fitness. Missed a lot of games last season through injury. Prior to that has played a lot of games though.

    The Replacement

I wonder whether as a back up to Sheaf and Eccles we might look at Sam Field from QPR. Seems to recall we were interested in him before we brought Sheaf in. Apparently there is Championship interest in Field according to Darren Witcoop from the Mirror.

Video Gustavo Hamer bids farewell to Coventry City 🐘

The mention of the golf course was the undoubted highlight.

I'm truth the new deal is king of irrelevant. Even the relegated teams like Leicester and Leeds could blow us out of the water in terms of wages. Even if he had signed a new deal then he would have still had his head turned by bigger offers (which most human beings would). We might just have got...

The final line is bang on for me. We might struggle to replace his creativity this season but the sale of Vik and Gus will strengthen us as a club over the next few seasons. Expect us to grow into this season and probably be stronger again the next couple of seasons.

Nature of all Championship clubs. Shows how good we have been in the loan market with Doyle and McNally and sold two players for massive profit. ... Not sure how Dabo is even in that photo though

    Hamer

Completely agree. First time I saw him in that Rangers friendly you could tell he was a really good player. At times been on a different wavelength to the rest of the squad. Last year towards the end the levels he hit were unreal. Amazed we've been able to hold on to him three years.

I still can't understand why that cone was so prominent in the Portugal training videos.

    Jack burroughs

Think Kelly, McFadzean and Godden are all to provide experience and leadership down the spine of the team/squad. The three of them will be invaluable at Ryton as much as in the first XI on matchday.
