Match Thread Tuesday v Rotherham Match Thread

Not a disaster. I didn't see anyone have an absolute shocker, but hey, that's just my opinion. I'd like to see what happened for that second goal of theirs again, either he was way offside (which I don't think he was), or the whole defence decided to take a nap at the same time! We did...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

I don't think you rely on volunteers at all. If it's a viable business as claimed, then you let it run as one, if it isn't then you get someone in who can make a go of it.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Yep, that's the idea. No one makes money out of it, but you get some pleasure out of it perhaps. A bit like when some of us actually had shares in the club...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Now that is an absolutely fair point, but then we're endlessly told that ACL is a viable business. If it was completely clear of debt does that make the difference?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Just to be completely clear I'm not asking anyone for any money mate, never would, I've got to live in this town.... .... however, if you want my account details... 😁 Seriously, if you did this, I don't think you do it as a bond, this isn't an investment. It's about securing the stadium for...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Again, happy to be corrected and not trying to start a row, but I listened to that meeting, and I don't recall Duggins or Ridley saying anything about it. That is the meeting where Ridley was asking questions about Wasps and bailouts at least. Was there another meeting?

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Again, not saying you're wrong mate, but I'd love to know where this started. I'll have to do some googling later!

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Yep, top of my head you'd perhaps want a CIC (Community Interest Company) set-up so any assets purchased are "locked-in" and an escrow account to protect deposits. You can tell I've been thinking about it... 🙂

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Just on this £20m figure, I'm not saying you're wrong, but is there any evidence anywhere of this being a real issue? I've only ever heard it here as a rumour, I've never seen anything vaguely official stating it. Happy to be corrected, obviously.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Personal opinion is that the Trust is perhaps too divisive to be involved, and probably too disorganised to get involved. I can't see that it would take a massive initial effort to get the ball rolling on a fan led buy out of ACL. Whether people would really put their hands in their pockets...

Me too. Without hesitation. Who's on Facebook to get this rolling? 🙂

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

That tells a story. I think this means ACL is going to go for a lot less than the bondholders think. The valuation was always smoke and mirrors in my opinion; Wasps (like SISU) are masters of bullshit and they've burned a lot of people. There's never been a better time to pick up an arena and...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

It's the Tories mate. The party of law and order, of common decency, of fiscal responsibility, remember? Now doff your hat, tug your forelock, and be on your way - it's not for the likes of you to question the likes of us. 😁

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I would happily vote for a constitution that required a general election if the ruling party changed their PM. Would you? Also, I'd happily include in that constitution a binding ministerial code that meant anyone who brought their office into disrepute by, say, lying or committing a criminal...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Take your point, and I think we're coming from the same place, but an "efficiency" that results in worse outcomes in terms of obvious metrics like waiting lists and delays in A&E can't genuinely be framed as an efficiency. It's a cut. When Tories talk about efficiencies they're usually...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I detest the deliberate misuse of that phrase. Efficiency, put simply, is input compared to output. If you reduce inputs and keep the same outputs, then you're increasing efficiency. If you reduce inputs and the outputs also reduce (like the "efficiencies" in the NHS, Police etc. etc.) then...

    My round

Just had a glass of red wine with dinner. "What kind?", I hear you wine snobs ask... Red. 😁

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I'm moving to the opinion that I'd quite like him back. Show the Tory party for what they really are, corrupt, incompetent, and chaotic. It might be the fastest way to get to a general election. Just a thought...

Imagine the Daily Mail/Express/Right-Wing-Nutters howling if there was voter fraud like this identified in a union strike vote.
