ACL & Council reactions to Brody and Board

Trouble is you cant run a company on the best wishes of 50% of the populace can you. The estimate of less than 20k fans is pertinent to the recent seasons and the current one and those forseeable - and if you think about it includes the away fans as we seldom get a crowd more than 20K. It is...

ACL & Council reactions to Brody and Board

Yes Rob its accurate - Leasehold land & buildings £462k, Fixtures £755K Equipment £163K Lease is depreciated at 2% pa Fixtures at 33% pa and equipment at 7 to 33% pa. So some assets are written down quite quickly and reflects their usage but bumps up the depreciation charge especially in the...

Brody speaks again on CWR this afternoon

I think it is because he is no longer a director and only a shareholder that he can actually speak out. So long as his comments are not defammatory and break no law nor break any agreement with SISU etc he can say what he likes. I bet KD & co are spitting feathers over his comments

ACL & Council reactions to Brody and Board

its the old what came first chicken or the egg situation isnt it. Without the Club then there would have been no Ricoh. Without the Ricoh (Higgs/Council) there would have been no club - they had nowhere to go HR had been sold three years before they moved to Ricoh

ACL & Council reactions to Brody and Board

First off both made the comments to set out firmly their bargaining position - they aint for budging. Secondly they have to plan for things that are likely to happen. It is far more likely that the club goes into administration than the Premiership and ACL cannot be sitting there with a great...

ACL & Council reactions to Brody and Board

ACL in 2010 made a profit of £546K so taking out £1.2m of rent would create a loss. However that takes no account of expenses that may be saved or income from alternative use of the stadium. So to break even ACL would need to save £650k in expenses or get income of £26k per cancelled fixture...

ACL & Council reactions to Brody and Board

not what they were saying. ACL & Council want CCFC there, they want a successful team both Mutton and Gidney said so but they have other responsibilities. They are not part of CCFC they have to ensure that the Council money is protected and that ACL is successful. Both made it very clear that...

ACL & Council reactions to Brody and Board

I sat and listened to CWR this morning airing interviews with Daniel Gidney from ACL and councillor Mutton. Here is what i took from it - the attitude to CCFC/Board/SISU appears to have hardened. Perhaps from frustration but more likely due to the unprofessional underhand almost bullying...

    Club statement

Bottom line has nothing to do with the stadium. The business model doesnt work because they have divorced the playing side from the business model when it suits them. A football clubs product is the results on the field and if that is poor then the financial model however it is put together...

    Brody says...

you dont have to have shares to be a director nor do you have to be a director to have shares. Him resigning doesnt mean his shares are available. Think you would also find that any share sales have to be approved by the other remaining shareholders so it isnt an opportunity for Hoffman & co...

    Brody says...

They bought the company and took over all its commitments as they stood. They could have asked to renegotiate 4 years ago but didnt so you have to assume they were happy enough with the rent then. SISU dont have a case really but they can ask. The agreement is with CCFC and ACL

    Brody says...

Here is another little snippett My lads club contacted CCFC to see if there were any deals for junior clubs...... part of the deal suggested was if we got 200 (paying punters)to a game we could have the pitch to play on for an hour. We didnt like the offer in total and said so only to be told...

    Brody says...

But we would most likely have been paying interest on a large loan ..... there would have been some cost that quite likely matched the present rental charge. the biggest downside would have been SISU would have had their hands on the stadium!

    Brody says...

as for saying the protests dont help obtain inward investment, then I totally agree. However had there been meaningful accurate communication with the fans, had the fans been made to feel involved in the club they love, had there been a little less secrecy and a bit more openness then there...

    Brody says...

Just another point ...... Brody talks of the average Championship lease ...... I thought most clubs owned their stadiums so wouldnt have a lease. If they have to lease from a holding company (but same owners) then the rent can be artificially low.
