CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

been in plenty of successful ones thanks and always found that if i was going to present options that they should be viable by much more than a cursory glance to prove them not. I agree they should have options and levers to use BUT they only add to the arguement if they are viable and cut...

    The land around the Ricoh

possible scenario ...... JS sits there in each and every meeting saying "we will pay only £170k, for that we get the match day income and ACL pay all the costs of the stadium operation on match days". She knows that is not commercially fair or realistic to ACL so they wont accept (clubs that...

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

not a great option though is it ........... still locked into the original lease and move to a ground where your income goes down and costs go up  (two lots of rent accruing, costs of opening etc ). So who is going to believe the option is viable - ACL wont - so it adds nothing to...

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

Average joe public outside CCFC fans and coventry folk have no interest or perception of what is going on and dont really care. They see the reports on the news etc and what is the one thing that sticks ? .......... the name Ricoh. So is the publicity actually that bad for the sponsor? Also...

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

Dont think ACL would do that ....... it requires owners to have money to fund the team that quite probably they wont get back...... ACL simply not in that position and they wouldnt want to put the stadium at risk to do it. buying the shares in CCFC isnt the problem it is the debt you then...

    The land around the Ricoh

because the land around the stadium is covered by ACL's long lease I believe Otis .......... cant see ACL conceding more to SISU, surely they would want to develop that themselves....... SISU are not in the business of land development, but councils are.

SISU: A Millionaire Right Under Their Noses!

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/coventry-city-fc/coventry-city-fc-news/2012/12/13/millionaire-cov-kid-and-new-owner-of-port-vale-fc-offers-to-broker-coventry-city-ricoh-deal-92746-32419540/2/ slow news day at the CT then. Knows nothing about it but happily drawing conclusions :facepalm...

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

"a couple of questions? 1:How much is CCFC worth to a potential investor without owning there own ground? 2:How much is CCFC worth to a potential investor if the owner of the club owned the ground? " not a lot in both cases .......... because it wont be the club owning the ground, it wouldnt...

Old Pop Stars to play in Coventry, who did you see

never got to see Lizzy and have always regretted it, one of my favourite bands. Some great songs and some of the softer tracks like "sarah" or "the sun goes down are just as good as the harder rock like "Emerald" Saw the Dublin concert in tribute to Lynott on TV the other week ..... magic :) ...

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

I cant help the nagging doubt that nothing has really changed. Seppala has a reputation for playing hard ball, and will take this to the wire. In reality there has been nothing much happen to change her plan and objective. Certainly do not buy into the notion that she has listened to the fans...

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

before we get carried away...... these are only talks, nothing has been agreed ......... but talking would stop the clock on the statutory demand i believe, if the talks break down it restarts. My guess is that they have also been unable to find a viable alternative ground and perhaps the FL...

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

thats why i put the original post as i did BSB though. They get hold of ACL in SBS&L not in CCFC. That means that any loans in SBS&L get paid but the debts in CCFC remain where they are. The club effectively still owe SBS&L 10's of millions but the SISU investors loans will have been repaid...

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

Yes with a viable club it would be worth more but if it still made losses what would you do if your belief was money was king and had no passion for the club, but had a charge over its assets...... maybe keep it going to sell the lease interest then say "it doesnt work we have to shut it down"...

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

haven't got the figures to hand but the shareholders get a return from SBS&L by dividend if they are not going to get their loans repaid. The deficit on SBS&L reserves is £20m +? (i know 2010 was £17m in deficit) That means that the group has to make £20m+ (edit 2011 show 34m losses for the...

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

I dont understand why TF chooses to conduct the PR he does, if anything he seems to be losing the bit of belief the fans had. He seems to be doing ACL's PR for them. The more he says the less the fans believe what he says. If it hadnt been for the appointment of MR and how he has galvanised...

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

I dont see how they hoped to scare ACL with it though.......... it took us all about 60 seconds to figure out there was no real substance to it, that it actually made no sense financially and that a lot of fans wouldnt go...... you would have to figure that ACL took about as long to figure...

if the rent is sorted out

and how many times have we been told the losses would be x and they turn out to be x+ because some other costs have had to be accounted for ? :thinking about: I guess we will have to wait till 2013 accounts come out to know .......... anyone seriously saying that they are expecting them to say...
