loan calculator http://money.guardian.co.uk/calculator/form/0,,603119,00.html £40m over 50 years at 2.5% interest. Annual payments £1,410,320 if you could find any one to provide such a loan in the first place (tip you need to put it in as 40,000 then multiply the results by 1000)

    Thanks Doncaster

I also doubt that any savings would have found their way on to the pitch. Much more likely given the problems agreeing a budget every year that it would have meant less put in the pot by SISU No one comes out with much credit but ......... poor hard done by club and SISU ? really ?

    Thanks Doncaster

Good points well put Sky Blues. As they say the devil is in the detail. Without someone to support the ccfc financially it will be killed by not controlling its costs and lowering them all substantially (including but not only the rent) The thing that will kill ACL is the loss of cash flow...

If you won £100 million on Euro Lottery

anyone know a good hedge fund that will invest it for me and make me more money ?

If you won £100 million on Euro Lottery

errr nope but it wouldn't cost anywhere close to £100m for someone who did

    Thanks Doncaster

Looking at it from a SISU perspective, and assuming this is about the rent (i dont actually believe that but put that aside for now) its pretty basic stuff when buying a business to look at its costs and seek to reduce them to maximise an early return, to improve cash flow. The rent argument...

    acl v sisu (ccfc)

but the size of it depends if the turnover is the same or less or whether it is a smaller percentage of a bigger number.......... which of course we dont know yet :D

    acl v sisu (ccfc)

I agree Stupot it is an opinion.......... i dont claim my postings as anything else unless i am discussing published documents or figures from a proper source. Doesnt actually make me wrong though ;) Our wage bill isnt just a product of relegation.......... we have the biggest squad too, and...

    acl v sisu (ccfc)

it is just spin MMM in my opinion. There is a plan but it isnt anything to do with the rent and creating a viable club as a priority. My understanding is that the rent savings and additional incomes were built into the budgets from the off and we are still heading for a £3m + loss ........ not...

wasnt the only one involved in the "investment" though was he..........
  11. oldskyblue58

    acl v sisu (ccfc)

wasnt a very good plan though or even thorough due diligence because a) it was a gamble b) shortly after gaining control it became evident that unforseen costs had arisen apparently c) poor financial control - failing to match wages to turnover for example d) half the freehold wasnt for sale...

    Which would you prefer ?

This makes interesting reading http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2012/may/23/premier-league-accounts-profit-debt I think it was Blackpool Birmingham and Wolves that went down - spending 40m on wages doesnt seem to guarantee anything although WBA survived and have prospered since (but read a...

    acl v sisu (ccfc)

I agree a fair deal should be put in place ......... thats a deal fair to both sides. SISU have every right to challenge the current rent but ACL have as much right to demand a proper return. BUT it is not about the rent in the first place Sustainable future ............ So the way to do that...

    Which would you prefer ?

surely we all want the team to succeed first and foremost ? That is the only thing we can actually help with
  15. oldskyblue58

    Which would you prefer ?

SBT £40m additional income is only half the story ....... what about the additional wages and costs that comes with promotion? What about the investment in players to get there in the first place (year after year if it doesnt happen first opportunity)...... Currently owe £47m to SISU what will...

    acl v sisu (ccfc)

"Then you get idiots like OSB droning on and on and on how SiSU "saved" the club - trouble is, the only reason the club was saved with 30 minutes to go," meanwhile in the real world ........ i think you will discover it very hard to find i have ever said anything of the sort. But then actually...

    acl v sisu (ccfc)

winding up orders can take months Otis but that is usually because the debt has to be proven. ACL got the debt proven in court months ago, which included validity of the lease and its terms, all of which went unchallenged by CCFC. So with that in mind the comments by Linnell would seem wide of...

    acl v sisu (ccfc)

Would have thought that it was in everyones interest to keep talking. We have all just got back from the Xmas break perhaps a few days to talk again before anything happens would be a good idea. Last thing everyone needs is to go to court...... would suspect that wont happen until it is the...

    Crosses

Dont think Christie had a good game, and contributed to the goal....... perhaps needs to be given a rest. Both fullbacks got some good and some poor crosses in ..... but Adams was far better on the day The whole back four seemed a bit at sixes and sevens at times though, a bit tentative, didnt...

    That miss

we could have won that game ....... McSheffery shot that hit the bar could on another day have gone in but so too could the chance at the other end that the shrews striker failed to get on the end of by inches. Over all i think we lost a little sharpness in our passing, perhaps under...
