    The rent issue...Here's a thought

I agree why talk to SISU about the club when the administrator is in charge?

    court papers explained

Ah you mean SISU have stayed away from the media like normal people stay away from ionising radiation lest they get burned? They'd get a roasting on here I suspect.

ACL: "We are absolutely flabbergasted by Tim Fisher's statement today"

Make it even easier, which stadium in the above list still has money owing on it?

ACL: "We are absolutely flabbergasted by Tim Fisher's statement today"

I think that the quote of £4m for the charity share has only ever appeared in the Cov Telegraph and has never been substantiated.

ACL: "We are absolutely flabbergasted by Tim Fisher's statement today"

Why let facts get in the way of a post?;)

ACL: "We are absolutely flabbergasted by Tim Fisher's statement today"

Ah so rather than negotiate with ACL over the rent when they took over, you think SISU should have just not paid.:o:facepalm:

But if* they decided instead not to proceed with the hair brained scheme (if indeed it ever happened) and then buy out the Yorkshire Bank then they have saved SISU from themselves. *and we should remember that no evidence has actually been seen yet to back up the SISU claims.

Skyblues Trust email received this afternoon

So that would be SISU (in all but name) saying the council, the stadium owners, a Coventry charity with an interest, and the clubs fans don't like them and still they don't get the message .

If there was a genuine plan to move back

Highfield Road wasn't a dump it was a heritage football ground that was sadly unsuited to the modern game requirements. This was brought home to me when poor Ron Reeves died in 1998 at the Arsenal match http://www.cwn.org.uk/999/1998/9810/981031-highfield-road.htm He was crushed by the away team...

Surely the council should be congratulated for stopping SISU/CCFC from attempting to cheat the bank, (which may be illegal - fraud possibly?) rather than condemned.

    Mutton under pressure?

Someone shoulder surfing just asked if this thread was about cooking having seen the title :D

If there was a genuine plan to move back

    Or the administrator?

Also did the council pay money for the mortgage to the yorkshire bank direct or ACL?

    Ricoh Arena Misses Out

Well the Cayman Islands is roughly 4760 miles from CV6.
  15. James Smith

    court papers explained

Yeah that sounds possible and I can imagine SISU saying well we'd like to put in a pittance for the lease and the bank saying no chance. If it wasn't for SISU obviously thinking out loud that the rent should be as close to zero as possible and also not paying, then the Ricoh lease doesn't seem...

    court papers explained

Was the debt with Yorkshire Bank secured or unsecured? Assuming it was the former why would they write off so much money and accept £4-5m when as secured creditors they could potentially get hold of the ACL/lease of the Ricoh. If it was the latter then why on earth didn't they secure it...
