    Questions for the day

They may not be able to do that legally if there were/are non disclosure agreements in place. But will you be going in?

Telegraph Poll: 66% Oppose the sale of the Ricoh to Sisu

Yeah well her hedge fund 'owns' our club so sadly she can't be ignored.

    Questions for the day

Sorry but the council didn't stop us negotiating a better rent deal at the Ricoh, they didn't stop us paying the rent, they didn't kick us out of the Ricoh, they didn't move us to Northampton etc. They were one half of the two shareholders of the company (ACL) that charged us an extremely high...

Telegraph Poll: 66% Oppose the sale of the Ricoh to Sisu

But would it work for Joy given she doesn't want to rent and owning ACL would be a form of renting and the mortgage would still be payable to CCC.

Telegraph Poll: 66% Oppose the sale of the Ricoh to Sisu

What would be nice is if the club owned the lease on the Ricoh and the team could be supported financially by the other activites of the complex. That way we hopefully wouldn't need someone like SISU to pump 'millions' into the club each year

    Questions for the day

I thought because they were trying to regenerate a depressed area of the city. Well I've no idea who the first one is, the second probably spending his cash, and the third is wearing 'tasteful' shirts on BBC F1.

Bob Ainsworth releases CCFC documents (OCTOBER 21, 2013)

I've just tried reading http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/charities/guidance-notes/annex3/annex_iii.htm and http://www.charitycommission.gov.uk/detailed-guidance/money-and-accounts/charities-and-investment-matters-a-guide-for-trustees-cc14/#h3 and...

Bob Ainsworth releases CCFC documents (OCTOBER 21, 2013)

I wouldn't have thought this loan was something the charity commission would be that keen on. So I would suspect that this was done to satisfy them that the money wasn't being lent unsecured, rather than anything dodgy with BR. Could be wrong though as my understanding of these things is very...

The future is Sky Blue, but not as we know it... (5 years to destruction)

I assume you mean not supporting the team by actually going into Sixfields? Lots of fans are still supporting the team but don't approve of the move to Northampton, so aren't going to home games but are travelling to the away matches.

    Annoyance is Growing

Ooh I remember Access, never had one but I do remember them. I'd have cashflow problems if my tenants didn't pay the rent, they'd have problems as they'd be chucked out after the second rent payment was missed - my agents aren't very flexible on this.

But the NAO wouldn't be involved it would have been the Audit Commission and now they will only be overseeing the companies who will be auditing the local councils. Also don't forget as Grendel told me unless ACL default on the loan and don't pay the money back, it is making the council a "minor...

If there aren't laws in place to prevent abuses, then are very likely to occur. You may remember the Homes for Votes scandal that happened in Westminster which was a serious abuse. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homes_for_votes_scandal

At a guess it would either be the Audit Commission, where the statute is called the the Audit Commission Act 1998. www.audit-commission.gov.uk Or maybe the Local Government Ombudsman www.lgo.org.uk/‎ There are also national versions and the Welsh Audit Office were the ones who raised...

    Annoyance is Growing

No I'm all for a sale of ACL it's just that Joy has herself said that she won't rent at the Ricoh again so that means both ACL and the freehold have to be sold. It's no good just owning the freehold as apparently that generates no income you need to own ACL too. I think that the Higgs would have...

    Annoyance is Growing

So how much is the Freehold worth and what is the value of ACL and do we think SISU will pay that much or anything close to that? I doubt and I will wait to see if SISU prove me wrong, that even if they were offered both for half price it would still be too much. They would still think...

    Annoyance is Growing

Before I started my current job I attended as many matches as possible both away as well as home. I made the trip up by train each weekend and it was all I did on a Saturday travel to Coventry or the location of whoever we were playing that week. In the days when we were at Highfield Road I'd...

    Annoyance is Growing

It took pressure from the FA to get the Academy back at the Higgs Centre, a facility that was effectively built for them, with the necessary features to get Category 2 status. It was SISU that moved us out of there by not paying the bills. I'm unhappy that we're not in a better position in the...
