I meant from the injury, but that did make me laugh (in a sort of gallows humour sense). Started raining here now to add to my depressed state. Hopefully SP is doing his stuff in the dressing room, and we'll come out fighting for the second half.

This doesn't sound too good at the moment, is Pugh okay?

    Les Reid Update

100% agree with that, it's our home, it was built for us not Wasps. Should have bought the share a long time ago and prevented the hypocritical council from selling their share to Wasps and encouraging franchising.

    Bob Ainsworth's view

I'm not defending the actions of the council in all this, selling out to Wasps etc. I think they've been hypocritical at best and something unrepeatable at worst. However for me another annoying thing is the fact that we had ample opportunity to buy the Higgs share since Sisu came in and didn't...

Job Available - Club Journalist at Coventry City FC

I earn more than that and have regular hours including weeekends but as a result rarely see us play. Couldn't afford the commute though.

How long are you willing to give pressley

I'd be happier with him if he'd admit that 5-3-2 isn't working with our current squad and try something else.

    Bob Ainsworth's view

Possibly although it wouldn't be the first thing I'd have thought of about them given their history. It probably doesn't help that we've been in Northampton until recently and saying that we don't want the Ricoh and plan A is the new stadium.

    Bob Ainsworth's view

That's maybe just the legalese isn't it though, as Ltd is no longer legally anything to do with the club? If the option exists within the legal entity called CCFC Ltd then surely that's who has first dibs. The calling everything CCFC was (at least part of) the reason for the confusion over who...

    Bob Ainsworth's view

Can they before having offered it to Ltd. though, do we know that as a fact? Also it does underline how much Sisu must have annoyed them and how many dismissive statements about the Ricoh we've made that they've even considered selling to Wasps.

And here is that post from OSB58.

    Bob Ainsworth's view

Well the veto exists and the council I think still have their share (not seen anything to say that the sale has actually gone through) which includes the veto so what we need for a quick purchase is there to be no bad blood between the council and Sisu. If Wasps are happy with 50% and Sisu...

    Bob Ainsworth's view

Yes the problem is that what the administrator has doesn't give you the share it only gives you the first dibs on the share and can only be used once. That purchase can be vetoed and do you think Wasps only want to own 50% and wouldn't veto it?
  13. James Smith

    Bob Ainsworth's view

The problem is that the Higgs share is not so easily bought, see the OSB58 post on this for chapter and verse. At the most basic the purchase of Ltd has to be made to acquire the option for the chance to get first dibs on the Higgs share. How much that costs is a matter for debate. Then we come...

Builds a new stadium as Joy intends to do. The council need to take a long hard look in the mirror.

    Higgs statement

Having re-read the post by OSB58 I take from it that buying Ltd and the option as a result, in the hopes of getting the Higgs share would have worse odds than winning the jackpot two weeks running on the lottery. So basically the council selling to Wasps and us doing the clever transfer of...

Well that scoreline tops off a crap day at work and a crap week in general. Something has to change.

    Are People really Bleating?

Cardoza didn't have to take our money and open the doors of Sixfields. We approached them after being turned down elsewhere. Wasps approached the council. ...

    Are People really Bleating?

The council are wrong to have accepted Wasps as amongst other things it makes them into hypocrites and encourages franchise sport. We didn't like being moved 35miles and I can't believe that the Wasps fans are keen on a longer round trip. Franchise sport is wrong.
