    Wasps do have the veto

He did say words to that effect and I was unimpressed to hear them. The financial foundations at our club at that time weren't very stable (or indeed sadly for X number of years before that) and whilst on the pitch success is important to the club - and us fans - building on weak foundations was...

    Wasps do have the veto

What annoys the hell out of me is why we didn't make an offer before 2012, before the Rent Boycott started. We're in this mess (partly and this is therefore not the only reason) because we didn't secure half of ACL in a timely manner. Had we have had half then it would possibly have made...

Thank you for a very good if depressing write up of the game.

That's true but doesn't excuse the result today.

Whilst we are known (if only by just by my mates) as easy to beat in the Cup, we've not gone out in the first round for over fifty years. Found out the score after work and then went for a drink to drown my sorrows with my colleagues. I got in to see most of the coverage and I'm now quite...

Its Time the Higgs Charity Remembered it's Loyalties

Why would the Higgs use their veto though, who would they be saving the ACL lease for? We were saying we didn't want it because of the New Stadium we're going to build (honest guv!) and were probably still in Northampton whilst they were being approached about their share. This was a way for...

Its Time the Higgs Charity Remembered it's Loyalties

With the same terms obviously because we all know thanks to the court case what a mess that proved to be when they offered some cash up front with the rest in installments. If we wanted to buy the higgs share then we should have done so ages ago, we shouldn't have waited this long. Ray with...

Tim Fisher reveals details of Ricoh bid

There was a solicitor who basically did just that I'll have a look for the details later.

Tim Fisher reveals details of Ricoh bid

No, but then I also wouldn't have counter claimed for ten times that given that they have something we need and might have to offer to buy in the future.

Bid Tabled for Ricoh from CCFC

Yes the Higgs have said something like Wasps are the preferred bidder. As I posted on another thread what I think is possible with the Higgs is that we were either still in Northampton or saying that we we only wanted a short term rent deal when coming/already back at the Ricoh. The Higgs we...

Tim Fisher reveals details of Ricoh bid

The only thing it might do that I can think of on the spur of the moment that is detrimental (assuming the bid is successful) is encourage Wasps to use (assuming they have it) their veto as they may not want to go halves with someone who is, or says they are going to bugger off after a few years.

Bid Tabled for Ricoh from CCFC

No one knows who has the council veto (see the article), so no one knows if Wasps can veto anything.

Bid Tabled for Ricoh from CCFC

Very confused about this but if they need information to bid could they not ask Mr Appleton to ask for it for them? As he is the person with the first dibs option under his control, would he not be entitled to the information if a bid is put in (which it sounds like it is) under this option...

    Councils new tourist attracting campaign.....

Rather depressingly last night this came up in conversation at the pub we went to for a drink after work. They had the Snooker on the TV and someone asked where the tournament was taking place. "That's Wasps new home in Coventry......." comes the reply. Now admittedly this is the outskirts of...

Great that we've got something on the board to energise the team. Bit of a blow to lose Reda early on though.

    CWR tonight

Is that possibly because he's signed a four year contract and it would be too expensive to get out of it?
