Podcast Sky Blues Fans TV interview with Ivor Lawton

I think football clubs can still be pretty brutal in the manner in which they release players, and considering the young age of some of those players it can undoubtedly be potentially scarring on their mental health. It would therefore be unsurprising if some have an ongoing bitterness about...

Derby County - brings back nightmare times

They might well be playing in a lower Division but Derby County will still exist this time next year, and for many years beyond that. The press stories of liquidation are all just part of the ongoing negotiating process between administrators, creditors and potential buyers.

    Item Would you be happy?

On another note I remember Red Bull being mooted here as a possible takeover group as one of their main F1 men is a Cov fan, but the consensus seemed overwhelmingly negative. Not sure how this site is reflective of our wider support at the best of times, but from that I suspect a 'mega bucks'...

    Item Would you be happy?

Both reverted back though. I remember Jimmy Hill trying to change our name to Coventry Talbot, so this isn't necessarily the sole preserve of foreign ownership.

    Blackburn Away tickets

Looks like a good turn out for Blackburn, but that could have a knock on effect on the Preston game only 4 days later, which must have a chance of providing our lowest away support of the season - not seen anyone even mention going to that game as yet.

    SKY and Sheffield United Away

I don't think any Championship games have been televised on a Sunday as yet other than 1st week of season when there were no PL games. Their TV slots seem to be Friday night or Saturday lunchtime, so things could get a lot worse for you than a 3pm Saturday kick off.

...... but surely we need someone like him to score the goals to make us into a promotion winning side!! Just having that money doesn't guarantee anyone we bring in to replace him will be a success either. Whatsmore if we were to sell in January, getting the right players in would be doubly...

    The Penalty

Trouble is that defenders will now be able to foul Godden in the area and get away with it, as refs will have it in their mind that Godden is a diver.

    Fadz own goal

If McFadzean had gone down when Mitrovic pushed him the ref would undoubtedly have given a foul. When players are honest and try to stay on their feet when fouled refs rarely give fouls. Its a reason why forwards justify going down easily when they feel contact, or in Godden's case when they...

Has someone posted that its a long season and that he will get his chance? If they have done they are correct.

    Liam Kelly

He did look quite good in the first half going forward, but he looked weak in the 2nd half when he had to defend more. He lost his head for the 15 minutes or so after the penalty and it was no coincidence that our 3rd & 4th goals came from his side.

    Quest

If we have any kind of shot at promotion we would be nuts to sell any of them in January. The potential PL windfall is far higher than the value of those players, and their value is unlikely to fall come the end of the season anyhow. The exception would be if one of them pushed for a transfer...

    Fulham fans

It does look from the video shown on here that the guy was making out someone was fat. No doubt this happened during to & fro 'banter' we see at all games, so it would be interesting to know what the Fulham fans were giving back. Don't think their mood was helped by the drubbing on the pitch so...

    Bielsa and Robins comparison

The thread makes interesting reading now. The vast majority were still supportive of MR, even though the thread was set up after our lowest point of the season when we had lost at QPR. The most vocal wanting him sacked in this instance was HuckerbyDublinWhelan and not Grendel, although to be...

    Bielsa and Robins comparison

There were plenty of other posters saying MR had taken us as far as he could, around about February time I think it was. I'd upload a link if I knew how to find these old threads :(

Definitely not you. You were spitting feathers in January that we didn't bring in Glenn Murray instead :)
