    Hamer

3 While we remain in contention for promotion I wouldn't sell any 1st team regular unless offered a bonkers sum. 3m is not a bonkers sum!

    Birmingham attendance

It is outside the football ground so the cost would come from the Policing budget. It is the Police responsibility to keep law & order and manage crowds, and as such they are provided public funds to do exactly that. Hiring a few coaches to help prevent public disorder while keeping ordinary...

    Match Thread Sheffield Utd (a) - 12:30 - Sat 20th

He was also an outstanding centre half though. Think the first time I saw him play there was at Wimbledon when we won 2-0 in a relegation crunch game. Without Moldovan we might not even have made it that far given his winner at Villa Park, and despite his earlier miss at Bramall Lane he would...

    Scab?

Agree completely with your last sentence. We paid them handsomely for using their ground and owe them nothing.

    What if…?

I didn't say he was, but Nilsson leaned heavily on him, & we were play off bound until Jim Smith was forced on Nilsson, from which point we didn't win another game.

    What if…?

So many :) What if we didn't sign Larry Lloyd and kept Denis Mortimer What if we hadn't kicked off 15 minutes late against Bristol City What if Arsenal had beaten Ipswich in the 78 cup final What if we had signed Trevor Francis for 1m What if we had kept Tommy Hutch & Bobby Mac for one more...

    SKY and Sheffield United Away

We took more to the 1998 cup replay. A painful memory of course so best forgotten.

Video Coventry City v Bristol City highlights

Never absolutely sure with the offside rules these days, but from the first screen shot Martin looks marginally offside whereas Weimann is clearly offside, although granted this is a millisecond after the shot was made. Weimann can't be offside in the 2nd screen as he isn't in front of Martin...

    Will Villa?

I dread to think how many times our fans will link him with other jobs between now and the end of the season.

    Promotion with Terms

Mentioned on another thread that I think the likely way we go will be to get a higher status of PL loans than we've had previously. We still have quite a few loans to use up. I thought the Gilmour rumour in the Summer had no credence, but if we are challenging for promotion that type of signing...

Matty godden not a championship striker

Not so much Eisa though. He's had a poor time of it since the days he was playing for Cheltenham against us in League 2.

    Match Thread Bristol City (H) - 6th November 3PM

If we maintain our position to January we will be in a good position to bring in much better level of PL loans than previously, and given that we have a number of loans still to use I suspect that will be the favoured route over permanent signings. As pointed out the January window is...

    All time average attendance

Anyone able to work out our average if we exclude the Northampton & St Andrews years?

    Crowd trouble

I'm not convinced. I suspect the flashpoints would simply move to the bridge over the canal and down by the canal side after that. The main problem is the lack of transport to and from the ground. I remember going to Pride Park a while back where they laid on free buses to and from the station...

    Walker

I wonder if Godden had been fit at the start of the season if the preferred front 2 at that point might have been Godden & Waghorn. Obviously Gyokeres got his chance instead and has taken it to the degree that it is now impossible to not see him as a guaranteed starter.

    Blues...off the pitch

Didn't know about the Forest game. I was in attendance though, and from what I remember I didnt see much trouble other than some Bedworth ex miners looking to settle some old scores. The 1981 Birmingham cup game was altogether different with fighting everywhere you turned, I was 16 at the time...

    Blues...off the pitch

There was loads of trouble in the night game just after McSheffrey left us to join them. A long time ago I know but when we played them in the cup at HR in 1981 there was a record amount of arrests at a Cov game, around about 150.
