Can't say I disagree with any of that NW. My comment was very much in response to Ian's. The other side of the story? Personally I'd prefer it if no Cov fans attended Sixfields, but as far as I'm concerned, it is for each person to do what they believe is right.

Perhaps if they protested they might not be "treated with the disdain that they are". Which is cause and which is effect?

"Football League" and "Initiative". Not words that you really expect to see together.....

    Ryan Haynes

Still a young lad. I remember his debut at the Ricoh, when he was so nervous that he threw up on the pitch. Then saw him at Shrewsbury last season when he struggled a bit. On the evidence of last night, he's come on massively from those games and if he carries on like that he should make a...

    29th April 1967 City v Wolves

It might have have been a panto Otis. We lived out of Coventry and every March my "little sister" got taken to a panto in Cov for her birthday. This enabled Dad to take to me to the match :), so the pantos definitely ran for a good while in those days (this was early 70's).

    Keep your eyes peeled...

Nothing to do with absence making the heart grow fonder Lord. Everything to do with wanting to see my team on a regular basis again.

Not for you, no. That does not by definition mean that there is no moral debate for others.

    Ccc/acl/higgs/ sisu saga

Having done a fair bit of due diligence in my time - as a buyer, a seller and a consultant - the terms of the lease for the stadium should have been covered pretty much in the first hour of the first day.

    24. I was convinced that Keane's fee was £0.5m more than that nice Mr Bellamy's.

Then I think we will just have to agree to differ.

80% chance of return to Ricoh this season

Well, we had Graydon and Nardiello. Then Steve Hunt came the following year. Anyone else you could think of????????

80% chance of return to Ricoh this season

Not wishing to be picky - so now you know I will be - but it wasn't on Boxing Day, although everyone seems to think it was! W played away to Villa on Boxing Day that year (77) and drew 1-1 (I think). It was the game that Graham Oakey got injured in. We then played Norwich on the following...

Coventry pay to resurface Sixfields pitch as waggot predicts us playing there

OK, once more with feeling..... 1. SISU's position is that they are going to build a new stadium. 2. It will take a minimum of 3 to 4 years (in my opinion) to do this. 3. That leaves an interim period where it seems fair to assume that the only options are to play in Northampton or at the...

Coventry pay to resurface Sixfields pitch as waggot predicts us playing there

They are irrelevant for a short term deal while the new stadium is built. This is what SISU tell us they are doing. If they want to drop that plan (or as some might suspect, admit it was never going to happen), and try to negotiate for a long term deal or a purchase of the stadium - at which...

Coventry pay to resurface Sixfields pitch as waggot predicts us playing there

SISU have explained to us all that they are building a new stadium, so the question is - what is best for the club in the interim period? The answer is that they agree a deal to get back to the Ricoh. In this context the much talked about issue of "match day revenues" is a virtual...

    Michael Higdon

I think that in the real world, it is a fairly uncontentious statement to suggest that you may be able to get a better player for a fee, than you may get for a free transfer. That does not necessarily imply a linear relationship between fee and "eventual value".
