How many would we have got last night and Sunday at the ricoh

More than 14K for last night. We had more than that for meaningless league games last season. The Mowbray season we had 15K and 16K for night games against Burton and Walsall which weren't nearly as crucial as last night. Edit, Burton was a Saturday and was 17K.

    Dodgy ref

Threaten them how? What can you possible say to a man 20 yards away with his back to you that is threatening? I'm going to burn down your shed mate? You're not giving any details. All I'm hearing is that some football fans gave the linesman some stick and used some choice language that perhaps...

    Match Thread Rotherham Match Thread!

I wouldn't be massively surprised if Robins changed it up a bit tomorrow. I'm sure Rotherham will set up a bit like Pompey did and will press high up the pitch. We got over the line in that game, but the midfield was bypassed for much of that game, so he might be tempted to play 2 up front and...

    Yeah, I'd forgotten about that.

    The Final Run In

I've seen it said many times that we perform better against the top teams. But out of 10 games played against the current top nine, I think we've only won 3. Only one defeat though, so very respectable, with a ppg of 1.8. So we've performed well against the top sides, but not 'better' as some...

    Match Thread Rotherham Match Thread!

We've sold around 1000 for Ipswich and they're not on general sale until Friday, so a comfortable sell out despite the prices. Not criticising Rotherham, but I did expect a few more than that tbh. Sub 1000 for a top of the table clash, where it's the cheapest price they'll pay all season and a...

    What are Rotherham thinking

This. Anyone we who thinks they can predict the outcome with any confidence is a fool. My gut says we'll lose this one, but there isn't much to base this on other than pessimism.

    What are Rotherham thinking

Maybe that comment, but overall they are being pretty measured. Don't detect much in the way of Billy big bollocks from them at all.

    A call to Arms !!!

Fwiw, ticket sales look very healthy for Tuesday. Looks like being a big turnout (relatively).

Fans who just stay in the bar.....

I went for a pee around 70 mins and there were only a handful down there tbf. Although driving away from the ground I did see a group of about 50 City fans walking from the town back to the ground, so they'd obviously given the game a swerve.

    Rochdale tickets

We'd easily beat that tbf in our first season or two. Lots of local games with big allocations. Pricing isn't that bad at some grounds, Blues charge £20 iirc.

    Rochdale tickets

Wycombe also, which along with Oxford, Shrewsbury and Burton sold out comfortably, so we'd have taken larger followers to all had we had a bigger allocation.

    Rochdale tickets

Totally agree. Towards the end of last season we took 2K to Peterborough, 3K to Sunderland and over 2K to Doncaster based on us having a sniff of the play offs. We are now going full tilt at autos but are struggling to sell 2K for this one, it's odd. Rochdale is actually a decent away day too.

Nothing to keep us there anymore

The background to that was that a company providing a particular service to the club were were told in November to 'stand down' in January on the basis that service would no longer be required and they were on a two week notice in December as it was suggested we could return before Christmas, so...

League 1 away average attendances so far

Yeah bit harsh on Sunderland. True about Pompey, in the late 90s they were averaging sub 10K in the Championship. They have rallied around the club in recent times though, so fair play.

Yeah that was some day. Unreal scenes.

League 1 away average attendances so far

Yep, Sunderland too. They took some shocking followings in their relegation season in the Championship. If those two clubs were to spend 8 years at this level (and lower) like we have they would see numbers plummet. They do have a lot of distance to cover tbf, although Sunderland do have a lot...

League 1 away average attendances so far

Talking of Wimbledon, the scrum for tickets for that game will be unreal. We've also got Gillingham where we don't travel well usually. On the flip side, you get a decent allocation at Accrington and Blackpool so potential for decent followings there.
