Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Playing in a 3 is very different to playing in a 2. Pace does not make a defender good or bad, but is helpful, however can be mitigated by other factors eg positioning, awareness, pace in other defensive positions. Doyle isn’t quick, but he’s got good experience at our level and it only 21...

Match Thread Coventry City v Real Betis (Friendly) - 30th July - 7PM

Genuinely looking forward to seeing Rushworth - not sure I’ve ever felt that about a keeper before!

Match Thread Coventry City v Real Betis (Friendly) - 30th July - 7PM

Taking my two daughters to the game. My oldest is 5 and she’s been twice before (as she’s repeatedly told her sister!) and the youngest is 4 and it’ll be her first game. I don’t expect to last the full 90, and I’ll be packing various contingencies in the backpack, including iPads as a very last...

    Callum Doyle

Would be a great signing. And instantly our best CB despite his relatively young age. However I would worry about his pace, or more so acceleration. Can be mitigated by players around him. And I’d hope FL will have picked up a few tips from playing with one of the best, yet slowest, CB’s of...

Just me who thinks this is a pretty bang average -> shit announcement video. What’s it even mean. Love that hes taken the 14 shirt as well. Shows where his confidence is right now. If we ever see him at the CBS I’m pretty sure he’ll be appreciative of what we as a club and fanbase did for him.

    Item 25/26 Coventry Kit

Not 100% what the letters say or stand for, but I’m a big, big fan of this jacket. It’ll be a ridiculous price but I’m all in on that. Love stuff that’s Cov, but subtle enough to wear at other times.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Lots of posts on the Transfers thread -> could it be something exciting? Nah, just more KKH v MVE / Will he play LB debate.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

I think Lampard likes JDS as, for all his defensive faults, he’s a good footballer. And I think Lampard wants as many technical players on the pitch as possible. So I don’t think he’ll see it as big a priority as we all do.

Transfer Rumour 25/26 Summer Transfer Window

Watching YT compilations of potential new CB’s is nowhere near as exciting as those for new attacking players. 8 minutes of him blocking and heading the ball away. I lasted 90 seconds.

    Transfer Rumour Carl Rushworth

The good thing about Rushworths distribution is the variety it’ll give us. We’ve all wanted us to play quicker, having a keeper who can do that gives us the counter attack option. Might also allow Grimes to stop playing as a third CB and start influencing play further forwards.

    Transfer Rumour Carl Rushworth

Rudoni won’t be going anywhere. However, if we don’t go up this year I’d expect him to be gone next summer. Another brilliant player unfairly written off on here after a few games.

    Matchday Ticket Prices

Heaps the pressure on Frank and the team. At those prices he’s expecting a good season so the demand is there, regardless of price. Kids tickets are mental. Not taking my kids to the odd game, where’s its 50/50 they’ll actually sit for 90 mins, for £50/60.

    Transfer Rumour- Daniel Pereria

Midfield 5 of Grimes, Sheaf, Pereira, Rudoni and Torp is incredibly strong. Different options to adapt to the opposition or style of play we want to impose each game, and strength in depth meaning we don’t see a marked drop in performance or style as soon as a starter gets injured. I don’t...

    Running

I’ve done my usual and after back to back marathons in April (which I wasn’t feeling my fittest for in the first place), I’ve got complacent and gone of the boil. So I had a few weeks of very low mileage (if at all), and eating/drinking everything! Starting to pick the running up again now; did...

Anyone else unable to buy tickets for Betis? I’ve got the ones linked to my ST’s, but trying to buy some for the kids and all seats are showing as sold or ‘temporarily unavailable’.

    Viktor Moving on

I think this is why he’ll be a success. Arsenal haven’t had a consistently decent striker for years. He only has to be half decent and he’ll be loved by fans. He’s already half way there, as he’s actually a proper striker and one who can lead the line. He’s also pretty unique in his style and...

    Next supporters forum 24 July

Yea to add to this any plans to improve the fans experience in general. It’s improved significantly, but anything else to stop the excessive queues for food/drink would be welcome. There were suggestions on another thread of things like mobile beer people or self serve dispensers. Also, can...
