Nice timing. What is Bedworth parkrun like? it is nice feeling when you think you are "utterly bollocksed" (to quote you. A lovely way of putting it) but in actual fact you managed to keep pace! Good effort. An easier week for me this week. I've stepped up the mileage in the last few weeks...

    Running

I’ve had a pain come back in the outside of my right hip, which has been annoying me. Last had the pain in Feb/March, only managed 1km today but thought it best to stop and have a day off. Came home and had a good stretch. Hopefully a few days rest and some stretching will make the pain go away.

My parkrun PB is at Cov funnily enough, 18:40. I did a 5k at Bognor recently along the seafront (dead flat) and came in at 18:03 but annoyingly I ran out of promenade so had to turn around at 4.2km. So I think I could just about squeeze under 18mins. My aim is to get to sub 18mins at the Crawley...

Good effort that! If you were to do a 5k on track, how quick do you think you'd go?

The only way we’re signing anyone for €1.5m is if the GBP:EUR Fx rate has taken a massive swing and €1.5m is now worth approximately 20p!

    Fundraising Ideas - Crawley Town

Living in Crawley, I now keep an eye out on their results and go to some of their games. Much prefer supporting the local team over those bigger premier league clubs (where is the fun in that!). With no matchday revenue coming in, Crawley Town have come up with some crowd finding ideas (Link...

Is there anyway to train for fellrunning then? Or is it a case of taking parts in lots of events and gaining experience/skill that way? Must be difficult to be regularly practicing the steep descents? Tried my arm at a flat 5km yesterday - new pb of 18:03 (3:37 per km). I pushed hard. Be...

Nice and steady 25km today. 1hr47 (4:17 /km). My longest ever run, only ever done one 1/2 marathon before. Felt good on this run. A much much slower day tomorrow.

5km PB of 18:17 knocking 28 seconds off my previous PB. Very pleased. Lockdown has given me time for a bit of extra training (mainly 10km runs). Nice to see the results of this in my 5km time.

Anyone wear a calf compression sleeve type thing either during or after their run? If so, are they any good? Do they work? My right calf tends to get a bit tight after a run, so was thinking about trying one out. Any advice from anyone? I’m a bit basic when it comes to running, just whack on a...

Can’t help I’m afraid, but the only thing I’d echo from above is take your time and build up slowly again. Did an early morning 10k in 39:45 after 2 rest days. My right calf gets a bit tight after a few days of continuous running, but much better today which is pleasing. Now to enjoy the sun...

Video Why & what made you a Coventry Supporter

I tend to use the lines “I’ve been to Anfield more times than you” or “I’ve been to more Liverpool games than you”. Despite us being terrible for about 15/20 of my 26 years, both lines still hold true.
