One of the things that pleased me most about yesterday's result was that we had 5 different scorers from all over the field. 2 from defenders, 2 from midfield, and 2 from attack. We have been crying out for the goals to be shared out

Boro legend Mowbray was the first person interviewed for the job and was approached by chief executive Steve Waggott rather than applying for the post. http://www.gazettelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/tony-mowbray-has-agreed-become-8756720

Automatic or a day at Wembley

Why would anyone swap certain promotion for at best 50/50? Autos obviously, and anyway we have already been to Wembley and won on our only real visit (can't count the meaningless Charity Shield).

    March/April

I'm still harbouring faint hopes of 2nd place, which was my prediction before the season started. Would need to be undefeated between now and the season end or at most 1 defeat and 10 / 11 wins to give us any chance. Unlikely in the extreme but still possible.

    March/April

Yes, and I have a feeling we might come back with 3 points from either Peterborough or Gillingham even though they are difficult games.

    maddison deal

Could they have meant that there was nothing left to pay for the new players we wanted? which we already knew

    March/April

Yes, for playoffs we probably need 6 to 7 wins and avoid defeat in 3 or 4 of the remaining games. So the wins, if they are going to happen are most likely to come from some combination of the following games: Hopefully we won't have to worry too much about April's results unless we have a chance...

    Next weekend

We will have 2 games in hand over Southend next time we play so although they play 3 times between then they are not easy games. 4 points or less from Southend's next 3 games would be excellent for us, bearing in mind they play Bradford, Burton, and Port Vale - possible

Well lets discuss failure if we don't make top 6. statements like this at this stage are pointless

    Joe Cole

Still a class player despite what some say

    Starting eleven

Yes, he may change at times to counter specific opposition but at least he knows the preferred 11

The point is there is every reason to be optimistic going forward, and I do wonder about the motives of some of those who are still making negative posts. As a team we have (apparently) addressed our defensive frailties, and this had led to a restoration of confidence in the team. Don't matter...

They played us! People said the same thing about Crewe, yet they haven't lost by more than 1 goal in the 6 games since we played them

Yes, I think TM hadn't decided his strongest team, maybe this will help.
