    Paul Telfer

I thought we had re-signed him when I read the thread title.

    4 in ?

Got some very winnable games coming up in the next 6, albeit with a couple of difficult away games. Should get some good points against Northampton, Oldham, and Wimbledon at home.

    3 League Games 0 Goals

Over these 3 games (all against opposition tipped to finish in the bottom half) we have had a total of 7 shots on target, used 19 players, used all three substitutes in every game, and have had several players playing out of position due to a combination of injuries, lack of a settled formation...

    Brainstorm

Ok to re-phase it, Wasps and the council may want the current owners gone but not necessarily Coventry City football club

    Brainstorm

Why would Wasps and the council want the club gone? They both may want Sisu gone but that's not necessarily the same thing. Under different (or common) ownership logic suggests both would want a successful club in the city.

    ZERO AMBITION

I can't really see what all the fuss is about, one player leaves .. so what? When Mowbray came here he immediately signed Grant Ward to play along side Fleck because he knew that was a key weakness in the team, and realised the importance of the midfield pairing. We will have someone better than...

    Signing Number 3!

The report says it's a permanent signing

    Squad Building - don't Panic!!!

I thought we might go back in for Elson Hooi, the reports last year suggested he did OK but we were pinning our hopes on a Liverpool loan instead.

    Player Recruitment

There has been a lot said about TM's excellent initiatives regarding attracting players and convincing clubs to loan us the best prospects, but I wonder how much the recent positive coverage will help to attract players as well. Leicester has put midlands football firmly back on the map, and...

    Sheff Utd Match Thread

Yes, not aimed at you at all Otis but just gutted that the team, manager, and some of us supporters gave up much to soon. We needed to win 5 in a row to have any chance. I still think the team we have could have achieved that with the right preparation, attitude, and positive outlook. But hey ho.

    Sheff Utd Match Thread

Yes, those 'unrealistic "what if" permutations before last week's game have proved to have been possible had we beaten Donny.

    10 Points in April

Proved to be one of the best months of the season points wise. Ironic because most people were saying April would be the most difficult month for us. The annoying thing is we have proved this month (apart from last week's disgrace) that we always were good enough.

    Doncaster (A) match thread

I think it's still mathematically possible with 2 wins and a defeat (as long as we beat Sheff U) but I think that would be classed as unrealistic lol

    Remaining fixtures

Quite right, there is only an outside chance, but still a chance. That's my position against people saying there is no chance, can't happen, lets now play the youngsters ready for next season, sack Mowbray now, etc. etc. etc. While there is still a mathematical chance we should work on the basis...

    Remaining fixtures

Yes, they went into the stoke game 8 points behind with 3 to play when all other fixtures were completed IIRC. I can remember all the games, just can't remember why we so late finishing the season. #edit. I remember everyone, everyone saying we were going down that season

    Remaining fixtures

Sorry Nick but IMO it has nothing to be with being realistic or not. The bookies have us currently at 50.1 to make top 6. Have you ever seen a horse win a race at those odds? I have. I don't personally think we can do it now because I think winning 3 in a row is too much to ask on top of back to...

    Remaining fixtures

I agree strongly with this very good post. What baffles me is why people who say they ae supporters would throw in the towel when there is a chance, no matter how remote, that we could make it.
