In fairness Astute I don't think policies make a dammed bit of difference these days. It's all personality, perception and framing.

In fairness to Starmer even his very even handed comment that now isn't a time for political point scoring but the government needs to be held to account was reported out of context and described as political point scoring. Presumably he is trying to walk a very fine line. The tories have...

In fairness to the journalists they have to keep asking the same questions with different wording because the government never answers them. I am becoming increasingly frustrated and worried about the governments communication. I struggle to watch the daily press conference because there is...

    Any electrical experts?

I don't know what you mean with your middle sentence? Before you do anything make sure you turn off the circuit breaker for the ring main so you don't give yourself a shock. It's hard to see what is going where in the first picture but as I recall you you tend to have a permanent live line...

Does it pain you the government are now using the log scale graph in the daily briefing?

I see we're at the point where the government lickspitles are now at the point where they have to blame the effects of the virus in London on the labour mayor because he literally reiterated government policy. Beyond parody.

Nothing has to be key or essential. Anyone can go to work if they can't work from home and don't work in a shop or public venue that has been listed as one that can't open.

Exactly, various think tanks, bot networks and independent activists will do the dirtiest dirty work for them while all drawing from the same funds yet they'll distance themselves from it. It's all over Twitter already.

300 pages ago he was saying the whole thing was social media hyperbole and the other European countries were stupid for going into lock down. It's hard not to argue with somebody who says such ridiculous things, especially when he continually has the audacity to try and paint everyone else as...

Could find plenty of social media posts wishing him dead. Nobody is frothing about the hateful right though and projecting those sentiments as having come from people on here when everyone has wished him well.

It was mooted, so what? It's not unreasonable to speculate that. As I recall it was only really RoS who last night wished him well. Anyway, deflecting as usual.

It's almost like the last several years of absurd hate from the right aimed at Corbyn has passed you by.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I'm old enough to remember when now wasn't the time for political point scoring. Virtually everyone has wished Johnson all the best and yet all you want to do while his life is in danger is stick the knife into previous labour governments. You are an absurd and ridiculous caricature at times.

The first stage of lockdown ending is likely to be sections of society going back to work to get some of the economy going, while social activities will still be banned, which I think will disappoint a lot of people.

What does "getting behind" them even mean, in this context? It's not like supporting the city at a game you know. They can't see or hear you getting behind them.
