Ah right, i was just interested to understand the figures quoted as it seems like a potentially large sum to have been taken out of the club's earnings if so? I don't know if previous years have shown a similar pattern or not but clearly the interest overall continues to pile up.

Presumably you'd get a bit of compo for him if he turned down an improved offer prior to leaving? I'm not sure we'd be able to prise players away from the bigger L1 sides who don't get promoted but Dozzell would fit our model of picking up younger players to sell on at a later date.

What's Dozzell like as a player? I recall a few stories suggesting he had potential and was being looked at by big clubs so was surprised to see him hardly feature for you lot?

Those are pretty good, i like the home kit in particular. The 95/96 away shirt is one id like to see again, probably as it was the first one i had bought for me and i love a good 'ugly' kit!

For me it's the very remote possibility of it being successful (based on repeated failures to date) when weighed against the massive damage it's consequences are having on the club. SISU are obviously within theor rights to keep going but i can't see it ending positively for CCFC.

The black and green is pretty nice but i prefer some of Alkhen's work previously, the ribero re-works and the purple and yellow efforts in particular. A proper, all sky blue home shirt would be good next season, akin to the old Pony stuff....im definitely showing a 90s bias here...

I share your frustrations but if you look at the way your initial post was written you can't be surprised by the reaction it got, it is pretty confrontational towards the end. Just take Mark up on his offer to put questions forward in future via PM as we are at 22 pages with no end in sight.

Im in complete agreement to be honest, being a natural pessimist however it struck me that we seem to need to generate alot of money each season via sales, 4/5m at this level is quite a bit of value to find in a side.

Good point, i'd forgotten Bayliss. Let's hope the academy and recruitment team can keep turning up enough gems.

I wouldn't know, i don't study any other team's accounts. I haven't looked at these yet but if we made a profit of £4/5m having spent £800k i would be concerned that we'll struggle to make sales of those amounts every season. I recognise that nearly every team has to sell to balance the books...

Should fund a few handbags. It's good to see a profit recorded but the figures in the article would suggest we have to make significant sales each season to remain anywhere near breakeven.
