Match Thread Southampton - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Apr

Frustrating in the end, but left ourselves too much to do. Something about us on our travels under the lights this season. Cardiff, Hull, Albion, Plymouth, Rotherham, tonight, just 2 points from 18!

    Atmosphere

Blues was great last season, as was that QPR game. Given it wasn't a high profile game, it was incredible that day. Yesterday was up there though.

    Season tickets for 2024/2025 season

I know a few not renewing, personal reasons more than anything, but you'll always get that. A small increase would be ok, but I have to buy 4 so hope it is reasonable. I'd like to see match day prices looked at though. Up until the last two games, there have only been around 5.5K tickets...

Leeds bringing over 4,000 allegedly despite only just over 2,000 tickets

This reverence people have for Leeds fans is comical. They're from Yorkshire, not mars. They had a 2K allocation at Watford, shouldn't they have been there filling all the empty seats? Willing to bet a few local Leeds fans will be scattered about in small numbers. There were a few Cov in the...

Leeds bringing over 4,000 allegedly despite only just over 2,000 tickets

So to summarise. Quite a small Leeds following today, about half the number of Blues fans that came for our last 30K crowd. A few coaches stopping in Nuneaton, nothing new there, loads of Leicester did the same, as did Sunderland and others. And a handful will be in corporate, to be expected...

    Fa cup tickets

The length of the windows makes no sense. After today we'll barely sell another ticket for a week. By which time hotels, coaches, train tickets become harder to book or more expensive.

    Fa cup tickets

Seems strange that people are pointing out that there are tickets left when the number of people eligible to buy so far is lower than the size of the allocation. Of course there are. Demand for this was never going to be as high as for play off final, but these will shift in final window next...

    Atmosphere

It will be nothing like Cardiff, just as it wasn't for Leicester and Blues this season. Has any club outsung us in the last 3 seasons, even when it has been flat? I guess Cardiff was about the first time you could argue, but couldn't really hear them. SC extends to 17-18, so it's 4000-5000...

    Atmosphere

I guess it's more like 10K after ST holders at say £27 average allowing for concessions. I also imagine a lot of JSB vouchers will be used for this game so a lot of freebies, so average will be even less than that I'd imagine.

    Atmosphere

People are overthinking this. Atmosphere has gone flat for some games simply because expectancy has been raised. We're waiting for something to happen because we're expecting it. That won't be there on Saturday, so it will be bouncing. I would prefer the away fans closer, but that only...

    Atmosphere

Also Swansea, general admission sold out for that game. There actually isn't many left for saturday, pretty much what you see on the map now, about 800. Plus they may open up premium seats by dugout but that isn't many. Block 25-27 is all sold out, there have been no seats retained for potg...

Match Thread Coventry City - Cardiff City Match Thread - Monday 1st Apr

A few on twitter saying it looked on. Regardless, don't think we deserved much from that game tbh, barely tested the keeper. One of them. On we go..

    Callum O'Hare

People trying too hard to have a pop at O'Hare. Not sure what they're expecting from him in these 10 minute cameos. Mpg for O'Hare this season is 180. Palmer it's closer to 600. Has to play for me.

    Championship thread 23/24

Nobody is buying 'we don't give a shit' line anymore. Leicester fans pollute just about every sm announcement our club puts out. It's why you're here. That aside, while we all know the outcome that we need today. Doesn't excuse a few city fans celebrating the goal in the pub just now, although...

Match Thread Coventry City - Cardiff City Match Thread - Monday 1st Apr

Exactly. Two biggest crowds this season, Wednesday and Leicester, we won. Last season, Blues at home, we won. That myth has long since been dispelled.

Match Thread Coventry City - Cardiff City Match Thread - Monday 1st Apr

It's virtually impossible for us not to average over 25K even if the wheels for off. It's already 24.8K, we'll have 28K today and more than that for Leeds. QPR will be a big gate as it's the last game. And we haven't opened the south stand for Ipswich, so likely they'll get full allocation if...

Match Thread Coventry City - Cardiff City Match Thread - Monday 1st Apr

There are some not on sale because of potg, but not a huge amount. Be interesting as walk up on Easter Monday is always big. Remember that Bournemouth game a couple of seasons back where people were queuing round the block at 10am. I suppose they also have 4 and 5 to open if needed.

    Fa cup tickets

I didn't need to look too hard, literally the Brighton free kick in the first 20 seconds 😂. The safe standing does stand out because it is a slightly higher level and they have separated it with a barrier and gangway in front.

You sure? Every time they are in shot they are all standing

    Fa cup tickets

Where did I say I was desperate? It's a preference. It's why I am in block 16 and I enjoy standing at away games where everyone does and I can't recall a complaint about it for best part of 15 years, not athe game anyway. The point being discussed relates to lower tier behind the goal where...
