    The Godden injury

I would start Gyokeres and Walker, they looked potent and both have shown they can take a chance. Gyokeres offers a physical threat. Godden just doesn’t look ready yet to me, did take his penalty well, however.

    Referee Analysis Bristol City

He was ok, nothing more, nothing less, and to be fair, I don’t think we’ve had a truly bad ref for a while - perhaps Cardiff away? Their guy could/should have gone for pushing Kelly over in a quite aggressive manner. If it had been one of our players sent off for that, whilst being disappointed...

    Bristol City (H)

Excellent performance today, a well deserved victory. Unfortunately, McFadzean just had to give us heart attacks for ten minutes or so, but all’s well.... The third goal was excellent, some tremendous quick passing and a cool finish. Pleased to see how Robins changed it after the QPR debacle, I...

    Will we stay up

Well, I would still watch, but I would be furious that he’d learnt nothing from the QPR debacle. Need a different right back, Pask, or perhaps Hamer, which would allow us to play Kelly or Eccles, and two up front. I would give Walker and Gyokeres a chance, or one of those with Godden would do.

    Will we stay up

It’s doable, but I think the problem with that, is that it’s hard at the moment, to see us winning enough games to pull away from trouble. So our survival may depend on whether there are teams below us, or close to us, who do worse than us over the remainder of the season. Don’t like to be...

Robins just been on the Argos advert.

I thought MR’s team selection today was poor, Decosta just can’t defend, and, contrary to some opinions on here, doesn’t offer an attacking threat. It looked to me as if the most he hoped for today was a draw, (one up front) and yet he leaves the better defender, Pask, on the bench. In...

    Referee analysis QPR

The ref was ok, although I’m not sure about the yellow, I think the man making the tackle/foul was the last defender, so irrespective of whether the ball would have been passed to Walker, the defender stopped a clear goal scoring opportunity. The other thing I think he got wrong, on at least 3...

It’s not unheard of for players to be mediocre at one club, move on, and improve significantly at the new club(s). Even though there may have been a good player in there, for us, I thought his attitude was suspect, and the thing I mainly remember him for was falling over. Good luck to him, but...

    Ex Player Watch

He was mentioned earlier today, Simeon Jackson has signed for Kings Lynn Town in the National League, scored a penalty in their 2-1 win over Eastleigh.

    Congratulations

Yep, thanks to all at Stans, I enjoyed watching Cov there last year, when it was a pleasure to watch a game on a decent pitch. Hope you stay up, as well as us.

    Pask v Da Costa

It has to be Pask, much better defensively than Dacosta, whose positional play looks all over the place. Also, as has been alluded to already on this thread, he’s living on a 20 minutes cameo appearance against Forest, where he did look very dangerous. Since then, I don’t think he’s added any...

    Red card

Are you sure about that? Unfair on Wycombe. I’m sure I’ve read in the EFL rule book (I know, hard to believe) that the next time we play Luton, at the start of the game it will be 1-0 to us, and they’ll have ten men.

    Red card

That was disgraceful. Schmeichel was interviewed afterwards and said ‘he’s a good player, so he doesn’t need to do that’. Actual quote. Then it gets overturned because Quinn didn’t do anything. It’s one thing to take a dive in a game, rotten, but it happens. But to compound it after the match....

    Wilson

You’re absolutely right, he wasn’t an issue before his injury, and although we do need better, he was definately ahead of Wilson. I just worry that Robins isn’t playing him because he has lost confidence after what was a pretty horrendous injury.

    Wilson

I would have agreed with you a month ago, but goalkeeping is now a real problem. We’re losing goals now because of goalkeeping errors, if Marosi’s confidence isn’t totally shot after his injury, he needs to be back in Saturday.

    Lee Bowyer

The only thing is that he can’t do any worse than Karanka. Wouldn’t be surprised to see a bounce, that dressing room will have been flat under Karanka. So not good for us, but it’s all still in our hands.

    Today’s games

Yes, and to be fair, he’s a Norwich City ambassador, and still lives in Norfolk, so fair enough.

    Today’s games

Have to say that Huckerby and Dublin were brilliant for Cov, and I’ll never forget how good they were for us. I do feel though, that they have this love affair with Norwich, and seem to forget that it was Coventry City where they got their opportunity, and where they made their careers and names...

League one - who would you like to come up?

Bloody hell, this thread smacks of overconfidence? I wouldn’t wish to name 3 teams to come up, I would then be thinking that they’re bound to be swapping places with us! If the thread’s still going when we’re safe, I’ll give it some thought.....

    Referee Analysis Derby

Tell you what Johnny Blue, a few posters suspecting your motives for this thread. To me and a few others, it’s interesting, and a number of times we’ve given refs good marks when we’ve lost. Think we recognise when we’ve lost due to our own deficiencies, and try not to blame anyone else.
