ACL Sky Blues- a "back door" take over ?

Not sure how, or if, this would work ACL now has access to all revenue and monies held. Why not transfer all the funds/contracts etc into a new company ie, ACL Sky Blues ? That way, ACL Sky Blues would own half the stadium, have access to all revenues and leave SISU up the creek without a...

How did MK Dons remain in the Football League

Just wondering the scenario when MK Dons bought Wimbledon.. how did they move from South London to Milton Keynes and stay in the Football League. Could CCFC do something similar and move to a new location ? Not sure how it worked or if our situation is the same.

Not many will agree with me, but :-

Now SISU has no chance of buying a half share in the Ricoh, maybe put CCFC into Administration now, enabling someone to come in and "rescue" the Sky Blues and get rid of SISU. I know this would mean another year (at least) in Division One, but maybe in the long term may be best for CCFC.

The SISU situation is affecting our home attendances

I believe the uncertainty of the Club's future is affecting the attendances at the Ricoh. Of course, we "diehards" will go no matter what, but there must be several thousand more who would go if the SISU situation was sorted out. The missing thousands no longer have faith in the club's future...

    Which would you prefer ?

Administration and 10 point reduction to get rid of SISU or: Get to Play-Offs and Promotion but with SISU at the helm for the foreseeable future ? Choice of two only, no alternatives.

    Dear deluded.....

Fortunately the majority on here accept that no team is going to win every game between now and the end of the season. OK, be disappointed when we don't win when the expectation was that a game is "winnable". We are going to lose between now and the end of the season, as are the rest of the...

    A Reminder to ACL...

Kick CCFC and you have NO rent Continue charging the existing rent and CCFC will go bust --- you will have NO rent. Make your mind up ACL -- half a loaf (or 1/4 loaf) is better than no loaf!

    Coventry City Mad

I've stopped visting Coventry City Mad cos I'm pi***ed off with being bombarded with adverts, some of which cover some of the contents. Sorry Kev, but it's a pain ! Anyone else think the same ?

    Get real !

Some supporters get all doom and gloom after a defeat or a draw at home against a worse team than us. FACT -- we are not going to win every match we play -- name one team that does. The important thing is that we win, or draw, more than we lose. This is happening now -- live in the NOW... the...

Maybe an exciting season after all ?

Not getting carried away by any means, but carry on like this under MR we could be close to the play offs come March next year. Just imagine the last day of the season and a "must win" game to get into the plays offs. It's going to be much harder to get nearer to the top than it is to rise away...

The worst since I started supporting CCFC in 1952

Even when we got relegated to Div 4 (Now Div 3) it was because we finished in the bottom half of Div 3 (South) not because we finsished in the bottom 4. Having said that, I really enjoyed watching CCFC play in Div 3 (South)... we were "The Bants" (Banthams) or "The Old 5" in those days and...

    Realism at last !

At last I feel that we are are accepting that there is no "quick fix" to the damage that has been done over the past few years and we now have a Manager who tells us the truth - and it's so refreshing. Whilst winning games and getting promoted should always be a priority, Mark Robbins correctly...

    Last Night's Performance....

On last night's performance we could have beaten many Premiership teams outside the "big" top 6 or 7. Even the likes of QPR, Norwich, Saints etc get thumped by the big guns. I am as proud as punch of the lads -- they gave their best, kept going even when 4 - 5 - 6 down and heads never dropped...

... and still some moan !

We are NOT a Premiership Team Wedo not have players worth £35 million plus We do not have players on £100,000 a week We do not get 60,000 gates week in week out We do not have a team of International Stars -- some of whom play for England Considering all this, Sky Blues equiped themselves well...

    Let's be realistic and sensible...

Far better to spend this season consolidating after years of miss- management and false optimism. If Sky Blues can consolidate this season and be prepared for a promotion push next season - this is far better than listening to false promises for this season. In the unlikely event of promotion...

    "Glad All Over "

Those of us who recall the 60's under Jimmy Hill at Highfield Road will have memories of "Glad All Over" ringing out around the terraces (when rattles were allowed). It was a terrific motivator to lift the crowds spirits -- far better than Mr Blue Skies. Would be fantastic to have this played...

    Our Season Starts Now

New Broom.. give the guy a chance. Write off the the diasterous first 7 games, they've gone, can't change the past. Be positive and assume our season starts now. Little point in thinking otherwise.

The timing od Thorn's sacking was shit. A new manager in place at the end of last season would have been more sensible.

Systems, systems and more systems.. the old way was the best

For those who can remember the 1960's/70's there was just one system. Goalkeeper, Left back, Right back, Right half, Centre half, Left half, Outside right, Inside right, Centre forward, Inside left, Outside left, ie two full backs, three half backs, FIVE forwards. It worked, The two wingers...
