    That wasn't the correct scoring sequence for the Norwich match. It was 1-0 2-0 2-1 2-2 2-3 3-3 4-3 4-4 5-4 Sorry to be a pedant!

    Festive fixture memories

Im surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet but the best festive game I have seen was the 5-4 win against Norwich. It was a fantastic match from start to finish. We were 2-0 up after about 15 minutes, the second goal being a wonderful Ian Wallace overhead kick. Norwich however came back to lead...

    Marosi

A few years ago my son came off his mountain bike and fractured his eye socket. It affected his sight, giving him double vision until the operation was performed. He had a plate inserted in his face to bring both eyes back into alignment. However, he doesn't quite look the same as he did...

    Walker

I think he recognises the difficulties that the lone striker faces. He was asked about Walker after the Huddersfield game, said he was more or less feeding on scraps and that they needed to work on bringing him into the game. He felt that losing a midfield player against Huddersfield would have...

The unbeaten run - the objective view

I think the ambition is to stay up. I don't think that's lacking ambition. I think that's being realistic.

The unbeaten run - the objective view

I think it's easy to dismiss the monetary value of the players we faced as a cliche if it doesn't suit your argument. Would Chelsea or Man City be at the top of their leagues if they didn't have millions and millions of pounds pumped in? Its the same for Norwich compared to us on a much smaller...

The unbeaten run - the objective view

Presumably at the start of this season you thought we would be doing better than we are? A team with the second lowest budget in the division, where do you think we should be?

The unbeaten run - the objective view

I watched the game. I don't think Norwich were terrible at all. I think they were hanging on at the end but that was due to the way we played. Norwich kept the ball well and made us chase but apart from a mad five mins and a hotly disputed penalty, they didn't trouble us. We thoroughly deserved...

The unbeaten run - the objective view

Also the run was achieved without our best striker, mostly without our first choice goalkeeper, and for the last game, without our captain who along With Hamer, who was also missing, is arguably our most influential player. I want us to play sparkling attacking football. Even more, I want us to...

The unbeaten run - the objective view

At the start of the unbeaten run there were, I think, only 3 teams below us and we were out of the relegation zone on goal difference. Nine games later we are 18th in the table and 6 points above the relegation zone. All this in a league 2 levels higher that 3 years ago.

    Greatest Final Goal

The Willis one would be my favourite of the 3 we scored that day. Such a good turn and strike and from a centre half at that. Also set us on the way.

    Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday

Quite a few comments on the phone in after Wednesday's game were very negative. One guy was comparing his wife, who is a nurse, working long shifts with no breaks at the moment saying how she has the right to say she is worn out, not highly paid footballers who run around for 90 mins twice a...

    Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday

I've just looked. Derby's last 6 results saw them draw at home to Wycombe, us and Stoke. Draw away at Brentford, win at Millwall and beat Swansea at home. So that is Stoke, Brentford, Millwall and Swansea, all teams above us either failing to beat or losing to Derby. I wonder if Stoke fans...

I don't think Rotherham or Wycombe were easy games, they were competitive against us and in almost all of their games this season.

    Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday

We started the season with the more expansive game plan we employed in League 1. It had us in the bottom 3 at one point leaking more than 2 goals a game on average. Most people on here have said finishing 4th bottom this season will be a success. Our recent form and results suggest we can finish...

    Match Thread Sheffield Wednesday

Why was Derby a debacle? They are unbeaten in something like 6 games. They have a squad that cost many times ours. They were at home. It seems very unlikely that they will be down at the bottom for long. They are an experienced Championship team. We didn't play well but still restricted them to...

    Gustavo Hamer

I did half hope for a second when the ref blew and pointed that he had given a pen.
