Me right now after a week of ranting

We deserved to beat Derby.Nothing flukey about it. Doesn't fit the we wuz right and Robins is crap narrative though.

    Lost the Dressing Room

Just to clarify. Grendle was criticising the recruitment of overseas players. My point is that the same team who tracked and recruited Kasteneer, would be the same people who watched and recruited Dabo and Hamer. It wouldn't have mattered whether Dabo was English or Dutch.

    Lost the Dressing Room

The point being made was that our recruitment of players playing for overseas clubs has been poor. Dabo, just like Hamer, Jobello, Hilsner and Kastaneer was signed after his performances in an overseas league.

We signed him based on his performances overseas.

    Lost the Dressing Room

Nothing to do with the fact he is English. We signed him based on his performances in Holland.

He was playing overseas, so yes he was.

    Lost the Dressing Room

The two teams he played for before us were overseas. We based his signing only on the recommendation of Vibash and never watched him play for his two Dutch clubs? I would have thought that the definition of an overseas signing is the location that you get the player from, not their nationality.

The last team Dabo played for before us?

I’m pretty sure that Marosi simply wasn’t ready to resume. He probably had no choice but to play Wilson until Marosi was fully recovered. Hyam, until today, has been the one constant in the centre of defence. There have been so many injuries to Rose, illness and suspensions with McFadzean that...

Thoughts on Chris Wilder as a replacement for Robins?

Not interested in what one individual fan from Barnsley felt. His record at Barnsley speaks for itself. Fans at this club know much more about Robins as he has been here far longer. The fact is he took over at possibly the lowest point in our history and has achieved two promotions and a Wembley...

Thoughts on Chris Wilder as a replacement for Robins?

Took over in September with Barnsley bottom of the league.. Lead them to an 18th place finish. Seems like he did pretty well.

Why would you want to down play what was achieved last season. We proved we were the best team in that league. I am struggling to think of any lucky goals we scored. Look back at last season, most of our goals were things of beauty.

There is no arguing with what he has done at Bristol Rovers and at Peterborough. When he was here, even at League 2 level, he never showed anything like that form. I saw him 4 times for Rovers last season and I have to say I was mostly unimpressed with the way he played.

    Membership shirt

I got the same email. I would normally take a medium shirt and ordered large as football shirts are often smaller than other shirts. I tried on my son’s XL shirt today, after the email, and it was just about right so I have accepted the offer.

    On This Day 1968

I think the crowd was 48k for that game, with thousands in temporary seats in a half burnt down stand. I can’t imagine that H and S standards would allow that to happen today. However, the stand functioned well on that day and for the rest of the season. I was in the West End for a game later in...

    Today’s games

If we were ever having a statue of a player then surely Tommy Hutchison would be top of the list!

    Match Thread Luton

Luton more than matched Swansea yesterday. I think a point would be a great result.

    Today’s games

I thought Luton played well and were unlucky. If they play like this on Tuesday we are in for a tough game. As always, a point away would be good. Swansea, along with Cardiff, are a really unattractive team with a win at any cost attitude. Constantly fouling, pulling players back. I really...

    Match Day Experience

I agree, the walk over from the shopping centre can be pretty grim. The place is full of litter, the subway graffitied dank and wet. The subway that you go through to get to Crawleys ground has football Murals on the walls. Maybe this one could have a Coventry sports theme with City, Cov and...

    Big sky blue news tomorrow

I’ve only been to the Bees a few times but that would be great if they could return to Brandon or another site in the city found.
