    peter ndlovu critically ill

Such an exciting player and the only guy I can remember who sometimes took penalties with the right foot and sometimes with the left. Best wishes for a speedy and full recovery.

Cov in Bailey loan extension talks

Do you mind Otis - you've short-changed Tommy Hutch by at least four "greats"!!!!

    Hinckley Confirm Coventry Discussions

In my view for it to be called "investment", money has not only to be put in - but has to be used in an intelligent way. They "invested" money last year to plug losses. They tried to reduce these losses by arbitrarily cutting costs, with the result that we were relegated, so cutting our...

    Hindsight

In that first season, I think we'd have had a good chance of going back up if we'd kept the management team of the blessed Roland, Richard Money and Ray Clarke. It all started to go wrong when McGinnity sacked Money, sidelined Clarke and brought in Jim Smith. And don't get me started on the...

    The land around the Ricoh

I started in exactly the same position as you - if anything, I was maybe more positive - I expected SISU to bring a serious degree of professionalism to the running of the club. At first, I thought they were doing well - I could see what the plan was, but then for whatever reason Plan A was...

    The land around the Ricoh

I think that in an obscure way, I was trying to say that considered arguments from both sides are fine. There is an increasing (or so it appears to me) tendancy on the site to dismiss people's comments using exagerated comments taken out of context (e.g. someone once said that AT could have...

    The land around the Ricoh

Don't you think that it's reasonable for people to form (and dare I even say change) their opinion, based on the actions of the object of that opinion? (I appreciate that you haven't explicitly criticised people for moving from a supportive to a critical opinion of SISU, but I don't think I'm...

CET: Ricoh talks back on "It's what the fans want us all to do"

Goes some way towards offsetting the £4m lost through relegation.... :D

CET: Nene park a potential new "home"

This has to be nonsense. ACL have offered a reduction to £400k. TF has been posturing for circa £200k. It would appear then that the maximum gap is £200k. The attendance at the last match was circa 11k. Nene Park holds 6.5k. Given that 2k of these are standing, their pricing will have to...

    Average League Attendance

I think that if you asked any Cov fan if they'd prefer the club to pay a higher or lower rent, they'd go for a lower one. I think that many fans are unhappy with the way that TF/SISU have handled the negotiations, but would still want a lower rent. I think that the real issue is that many...

    Mr Fisher please wake up

Quite correct. ACL should view the club as a community asset in exactly the way that SISU do.

    Yes - that's SISU's job!!!

    All Ricoh/ alternative ground comments.

They might "tell ACL to get stuffed" but they'll still have to pay what's due under their contract - or face the consequences.

City player who constantly got you off your seat

Tommy Hutch naturally - although in those days most of us weren't sitting to start with!!

    Im sick of all this

Have to disagree there Otis. The owners in the States are even more financially focused than those over here - I don't believe they'd agree to the "regulation" of their squads if there was any risk that they could be relegated and so could lose out on the very lucrative revenue streams...
