We have to pay acl £24m for revenue rights

Not so much that it winds me up - more that it just seems pointless.

The Official JPT home leg tickets sales thread

Shouldn't be a problem. Give Crewe enough blocks to cover the number of seats they've sold and then put signs up to say that it's unreserved seating.

ACL and the City Council announcement

You were flippant when your "well that proves ACL can't survive without CCFC" was challenged. I was being flippant in response to that...... I happen to disagree with your unproven assertion. As for a tenant that pays no rent being described as a "cash cow"... (Don't worry, I'm only being...

ACL and the City Council announcement

I've no idea if the balance is shifting, but in my case my concern has come from a distrust of SISU's motives. As a general proposition I would love the club to own the stadium, but as things stand I would have significant concerns that SISU would not be motivated to act in the club's interest.

ACL and the City Council announcement

Torch - I think there's a big difference between having a sitting tenant around whom the arena is based who refuses to pay any rent and not having the said tenant and so being able to explore other options.

ACL and the City Council announcement

You may be right that will continue their "rent strike" in the hope that the council will believe that sufficient CCFC fans/voters will take SISU's side. Personally, I think they have massively overplayed their hand, but each individual will have their own reading of the situation. P .S ...

ACL and the City Council announcement

As ever - very sensible analysis. I agree with you on SISU's 3 options. Letting the club "go bump" will not be attractive to them for the obvious reasons. Will the recent upturn in fortunes persuade them that they might be able to (at least) stem their losses while having a possible...

Where were you in 1987 ?

I was there with my Dad and my two brothers-in-law. What a day. Outside Wembley an hour before the gates opened - Jimmy Greaves being escorted through the queuing Cov fans by a couple of coppers as everyone patted his head and told him how wrong he was (he'd backed against us in every...

So cynical Otis :p Just had a look at how many seats have gone so far and it's looking better than I'd expected - a few of the blocks don't have too many left.

    Fisher pays tribute to fans

If you try re-reading the post, you'll see that he says "Nobody even discussed the possibility that the figures were higher......". Hence my query. So not really "strange" at all. And I don't think there was any doubt that you'd agree..........
