League 2 would be end for city

Whether or not I can answer that question doesn't change the fact there is no point talking about a new stadium, even if we come to the conclusion that we can't move forward without a new stadium that doesn't mean we can build a new stadium it simply means we can't move forward. So instead we...

League 2 would be end for city

I don't understand this constant talk of needing a new stadium, it's not viable to build one. It's like me spending my life complaining that I need a new set of legs, it would be pointless, it's not happening, no chance, so you have to make the best of what you have, lets focus on the fact that...

League 2 would be end for city

If we are spending 2.6mill on player wages alone we aren't break even now nore will we ever be break even under this regime. Of course I don't believe for a second we have a wage bill that high.

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

While I completely agree about the calculations about income to the economy to be devastatingly flawed, it seems to me like your post is meant to in some way refute what I wrote and it doesn't do that in the slightest, your response has no relevance whatsoever to what I wrote.

League 2 would be end for city

Agreed, in fact if anything you are being too generous with our league 2 crowds. Our crowds already look like there is a a significant number of season ticket holders who aren't even bothering to go everyweek when they have already paid. I see us being more like 4k if we aren't doing well which...

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

you and I have discussed whether or not the loan to wasps has significant risk and is a good deal financially before, it was a good discussion though yes we do differ. I recognise though that we don't have the full facts and either of us can be right on that topic. I was deliberately trying to...

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

Wasps have had nearly 100k people visit the arena since they got here, so there is rent from wasps + the income from that footfall. We all know sisus plan was to try and send acl bust, it makes no sense whatsoever to believe acl are now more vulnerable to that now than they would have been...

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

however much risk wasps are its a better situation than they were in. If his comment had been about the original bailout of acl it would have been far far more valid, that was the point that the council took the risk, the sale to wasps not only mitigated that risk it made the risk much more...

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

If that were the only thing that happened sure (though of course they could if they wished lower payments again in future) but acls income significantly increases with the sale to wasps. ACL are far far less likely to go bust now than they were before the sale to wasps.

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

If ACL go bust and no one wants to buy them yes the loan will be defaulted and CCFC will get the lease back, I don't think there is any significant risk especially with an 11% interest rate it seems very fair imo but thats not what I'm talking about, thats not the reason for it being a misguided...

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

I can understand and even in part agree with hating the council because they sold to wasps. But that view doesn't make sense. Selling to wasps not only dramatically improved the loans terms and conditions making it much more financially viable it also made it much less likely that the loan would...

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

I said the usual suspects for the most part, I don't see why anyone would hate him for signing a letter no but I didn't say anything of the sort. I don't think he is a notable signatory though either. He's the club historian, his view is no more or less valid on this issue than any other fan.

OPen Letter Asking For Public Inquiry Over Wasps Deal

Seems like the usual suspects to me for most part SCG members, Les Reid, Rob Stevens his friend and the guy they got to run against the council.

    Fisher: Support the team

He's not questioning that we have players being paid 2.4k a week, he's questioning that being our average especially when you remember that average is brought down significantly by the kids meaning the amount we are paying the rest of the squad is significantly higher. Either we are seriously...

I Hope Pressely says it at is it

I suspect that would be part of a leaving agreement too, we will speak nicely of you and wish you well, express sadness that it didn't work out and you do the same.

I Hope Pressely says it at is it

He's been the most positive and tow the line yes man we've ever had, I can't see that changing at all. Even when we were in a transfer embargo he was telling us the good news about all the great players we were about to sign. I agree with you that not being negative about the club is likely to...

Are you now getting a Season Ticket?

No, Pressley may have lost the dressing room and needed to go but I don't believe he is the main issue at all and I still see no hope of success while Sisu are here. hopefully we'll get the bump in form that so often comes when sacking a manager and that will be enough to keep us up but I don't...

    When all seems lost...

It's a bit like the palestinians living in rubble pointing and laughing because our council tax has gone up.

    Stokes signs...

of course if he does well in his 28 day loan and proves he can make the step up then someone else will probably offer him more and we'll lose him, Makes it hard to see an upside weather he is any good or not.
