Why don't those clubs who want a B team "adopt" a lower club...? Man U could adopt CCFC and take over the Ricoh lease, it'd mean fans would have less far to travel from London to home games, and Cov is full of Man U fans anyway...

The naughty council. Imagine if I owned a house, sold it, gambled away the profits, then asked them to build a better one which I then stopped paying rent on because I said it was more than someone else was paying for their council house in Doncaster.

You'd have to be as clever as the average footballer not to see that a club that is loosing money and has a low income wouldnt be able to offer the moon on a stick, and even if they did, they'd be looking at slashing your wages next year. That's what the rent embargo was about, wasn't it...

Daft question- but if the stadium is sold, shouldn't the shareholders in it be consulted, ie the Council Tax payers of Coventry....? I'd at least expect to see a balance sheet to justify the sale for x million pounds if CCC have made y millions overall from the whole Arena project. But then...

Don't underestimate the power of a few people in the know who might be able to influence the results of the next games. They'll be a few cheeky punts going on those long odds now as they'll sure drop after we loose the next game....
