Very symbolic. Wasps won't give a toss about us now their bank account is stuffed with bond cash. I really don't like much about England these days.

Wasps to pay back Ricoh Arena loan "within days"

I'd have thought so, until Sisu started titting about. Is there evidence otherwise?

Wasps to pay back Ricoh Arena loan "within days"

The fact is that Wasps have managed to get the stadium for less than half its value. Sisu could have had that deal if they'd simply been honest, honourable and decent. As they say - end of.

    Talks with Mowbray to continue

Given Sisu's opaque management structure this could take a while. There's a Mr Big somewhere sitting in his island lair stroking a white persian cat who'll make the final decision.

    Mowbray Interview

My lad and I haven't had a season ticket for years but we've agreed today that we'll get them next season IF TM stays and is given some resources.

Another failure of a season with sisu

We shouldn't be anywhere near clubs like Crawley. I was struck at just how non-league their ground was today. Sisu should realise they have no other option than invest in the team now. A promotion run is the only way they'll ever get any of their money back. Owning the Ricoh is never going to...

    Keep the faith

I wonder if Wasps' bond issue will affect Sisu's behaviour. If they're still lusting after the Ricoh it would be in their interest to try and distress Wasps so the issue fails. Another move away maybe?

    Mowbray, League 1 and finance

Good stuff as ever OSB, but wouldn't a successful promotion bring in a lot more income? Bigger crowds, more sales of shirts and presumably more TV money. The club would grow in size again and be able to afford better players - we just need a bit of seed funding to start with.

Great post RB. I didn't start going til the second div promotion season but I remember the away support we took back then was absolutely massive. A mate from Watford remembers a night game there when nearly all the crowd were Sky Blue. And yes, you're right, we've always been an erratically...

    Leyton Orient - Wednesday

Thinking I might just drag my sorry ass up to the Ricoh. Would only be my second game (yes I know) but the team could do wiith every ounce of support I reckon.

    Pressley suing CCFC

Yep, it's that will-we-still-exist-in-4 months time again. Come on Sisu, why don't you have a go at running the club properly? Just try it for one season - no litigation with anyone anywhere, invest in the team, sensible negotiations with Wasps, rebuild relations with the fans, stop pretending...

Relegation "would not be the end of the world" for CCFC

Why can't Sisu 'reboot' now? Surely it'd be easier with League 1 status than with League 2. Now Mowbray has stabilised the ship, Sisu must be able to see the only they can ever recoup any of their debt is by investing and building a successful football team. There is simply no other choice.

    Tim Fisher LinkedIn

And yet, despite all this MBA mumbo jumbo and misplaced self-regard he clearly hasn't the slightest clue how to build a successful business.

I have a golden rule in business - never trust anyone who speaks in this sort crappy business jargon. 'Sell side and buy side mandates' What the hell does that mean? Talk in English you tool.

    Possible Solution

It's good to see creative thinking but that looks a complicated idea. I can see the two clubs coming together under one owner in some sort of Coventry Sporting Club - which could include Cov Rugby Club too - ultimately. How that situation arrives, God knows, but I've a feeling it'll be the only...

    Has GMK gone for good?

Sad, but it had become a home for some strange beings.

Will this Summer be make or break then?

Quite, SISU aren't even any good at being bad.
  18. Bill Glazier

    Fisher on new stadium

Yes I kind of think that too. They could have waited, but I suspect they wanted SISU off their backs - being sued endlessly is tiresome and, like all councils, CCC is facing massive cuts.

Coventry City 'can't survive in League One' and have their priorities wrong

But our turnover would have risen massively after asuccessful promotion campaign.

Club did not pay JR costs according to chairman

He's probably telling the truth! He's just confirming CCFC would never have benefitted from SISU owning the Ricoh. We'd still have been tenants, just as we will be if Fisher ever builds the fantasy ground.
