What matters at this stage is the QUANTITY of messages Councillors receive. If they only get a few, however brilliantly written, then it will show the deal isn't a concern for most people. If they get lots all expressing concern, irrespective of detailed points, then they know there's a problem.

You might want to ask about when to have the protest. It might be that things aren't in place before Tuesday so there won't be a vote, but if things are falling in to place then the real decision will be taken at the political group meetings which might even be on the Monday. Ask someone like...
