    Broad Lane / A45 Crash / Death

They assumed that the Gibbet Hill Road/Kenilworth Road crossroads being turned into a roundabout (with no signals) would ease the congestion round the university, but it's still backed up to the main entrance every day (except at the moment, obvs!). It's just too much traffic!

    Any electrical experts?

One little job i've been doing while on lockdown is to put perspex "finger-plates" round the sockets and switches in the kitchen. I chose a light grey transparent one, to match the stone-coloured paintwork. Finishes it off nicely ...

    Any electrical experts?

I'm gradually changing my switches and sockets to brushed steel from ghastly outdated brass with rope-effect detail .. Slight problem i'm finding is that they only put 3/4 inch back boxes in the walls, so something like an LED dimmer struggles to fit. Really looking forward to doing a 3-gang...

What's everyone watching while on 'lockdown'?

Been catching up on Celebrity "Stand up to cancer" Bake Off on c4. Some episodes have been soooo funny. But last night's had Melanie Sykes on. What a lovely woman she is (despite being a strange shade of mahogany) - 47 years old, and as beautiful as when she was in the first Boddington's advert...

    Sunday roasts ranked.

All good - except for having two kinds of potato. Gotta be roasties for me, unless I'm having the first lift of the new potatoes from my garden, in which case i'll have those boiled with a bit of mint in the water, then buttered. Would probably have a leg of spring lamb to add to the seasonal feel.

The routine in our house is to ensure there is plenty of veg left over on Sundays, then on Mondays we have the cold meat, with a heap of sauteed potatoes and all the re-fried veg, with a pile of home-made tomato chutley. It's one of the highlights of our week! Missus says "if we'd been told as...

Love cauli cheese, but goes best of all with a grilled gammon steak and buttery jacket spud. A bit of naked cauliflower with a roast is a thing of beauty - and a leek gratin? We've recently discovered braised or roast fennel, which goes REALLY well with pork. It comes in our weekly variety box...

Me and the missus agree that our favourite changes to pretty much whatever we've had that week! But she really is the queen of roasts - used to run and chef in pubs, and her's was the best pub roast i've ever had. She normally does about 7 veg at home, and her gravy is the talk of our friends...

Not sure what their delivery area is, but this is in the next village to me, near Evesham! Incidentally, reputed to be the only pub in the world to be named after asparagus (Gras in the local dialect) - they even have a separate asparagus menu at this time of year...

    Online Jigsaw Puzzles

I never knew it was a "thing" until your post, so thanks! Didn't realise you could hit pause, so i went for my tea and took over an hour to do Houch's Header! Strangely i wasn't too bothered about taking my time over the one with the girls in bikinis it suggested i complete next! Will go back...

    Greatest Escape

I see the BBC have seen fit not to include us (as probably the most famous of all Houdini clubs) in their list of greatest PL escapes. So what do YOU rate as our most spectacular ever (don't necessarily limit it to the PL years)? Premier League: Who produced the greatest relegation escape?

    Is it Unthinkable

If we don't get promoted, by whatever means the EFL conjure up, any bets that SISU are the first to launch legal action???
