    Club Accounts 2016/2017

As usual the CT fail to understand some of the things in the accounts I am afraid. The headline is completely wrong Profits up losses down? Complete rubbish. Have the finances improved when it actually made a bigger loss £2.7m and increased the level of debt whilst operating a cash flow...

    Club Accounts 2016/2017

I think it is misleading and for the purposes of a headline. Why isn't the fans money allocated against wages for example. That's what the fans really go see.... The players and the team. Also he ignored that it has yet to be paid but the fans money has already been used

You would have to do an assessment of the debt owed and an impairment review to show the amount at fair value. That value would be the recoverable amount......

All fair points if they happen or match our expectations of value. However if the FA cup matches the checkatrade that doesn't actually improve 2018 over 2017. The player add ons are maybe events. If Madison is sold that could be significant but is likely to be after 31 May 2018. I will be...

The accounting rules and presentation requirements have changed an awful lot since 1981 fp. There was more leeway in presentation back then

Could have been it doesn't give the timings but even with the loan the club had negative cash flow of £481k. So without the loan it would not have had the money in the bank to pay the bills. did they knock back the bids or simply ask too much ? Who knows

The club website says this about the wages "Staff costs to 31 May 2017 decreased from the previous year, from £4,306,746 to £4,172,030" the Otium accounts say Turns out they have forgotten on the website to add in the wages paid out as direct costs (I would guess the stewards etc)

Who is paying for all this? and I thought the current thinking was nearer the city centre or at least commercial outlets to tie in with a stadium?

    Club Accounts 2016/2017

I do not think as a club we are worse than anyone else. Owners that's a different question. Never have been advocate of football being somehow a special case. I understand the link and effect on communities but by allowing owners and football authorities to operate as they do then that puts...

    Club Accounts 2016/2017

Thats the point though - why should a football club or any sports club think that basic financial principles do not apply or be allowed to operate in that way. There is for any club bar a select few in the Premier just as much chance of a bad year. You really shouldn't operate a multi million...

Overall I think I am disappointed by these figures. Yes I know we got relegated and it affects the finances but it also includes the Wembley cup win. The tone of the Director's report seems down beat So key points Otium Entertainment Group Limited. The operating company and the holder of all...

Government must introduce an independent regulator for English football

I think the fit and proper test needs to go further than that. Companies Act 2006 defines and requires disclosure of persons with significant control. The FA & EFL should adhere to that standard when implementing who is fit and proper. As it stands someone controlling a club doesn't have to be...

    Evans’s Behaviour

You might think that having been proven to be a tax fraudster the guy might reel his neck in. That article makes claims about players diving or managers making unwanted comments pretty insignificant by comparison. Is there anything in the FA or EFL rules that the manager of a team must be a fit...

    Evans’s Behaviour

Only little man squealing I can see is Evans. A throwback to all that was bad in old style management particularly at amateur levels. He gets little respect because he earns none with his ridiculous antics. You would think the football authorities would have educated about his wider...
