Match Thread Coventry v Charlton Match Thread - Friday 14th Apr

Seems to me that the end is nigh...at least they've shown some balls under Robins.

    Joint Protest with Charlton Fans

My utmost respect goes to the Charlton faithful, I'll raise a glass to you all later when I'm have a few vat-loads. :) Also, in recent weeks we've seen a polar opposite in rival fan's mentalities: the decency and affability of Charlton, and the downright gobshite wankers of Sheff Utd.

League two players at the end of deals with 10+ league goals

Also, I'm all for bringing in a proven young striker from non-league, to see if he can cut it in L2. If not, I think Robins will have a serious look at Ponticelli. Personally, I think if he played Ponticelli off Beavon, the lad will undoubtedly score goals.

League two players at the end of deals with 10+ league goals

Is that the left footed kid? If so, that lad is destined for big things, he's got some undeniable talent. Carey is a very good player, another left footer who can wallop them in for fun from distance - no way he'll be in the lower leagues for long though, sadly.

Rumour: Hoffman and Elliot takeover negotiations

Nice of gutter-press Gilbert to surface, what a guy. I agree though, this thread has been hilarious; it's helped me chuckle through 2 nights of insomnia, cheers guys.

This bodes well for me, finally we have a dedicated Head of Recruitment that will be scouring non-league teams for suitable talent. As has been mentioned, players from off the FL grid will give their all for the club, potentially. Only time will tell, but this is a definite shove into...

    Lameiras - Class

His stature is irrelevant, it's his mental weakness that's the issue. Lack of focus and that 'trying too hard' syndrome come to mind, and he really is short on confidence. Is it because he feels that he should be playing at a more prestigious level? Probably. Robins will probably work on...

    Robins

I was referring to more than one person actually, I just find it odd to be gloating when even Mowbray failed to win a game out of 10 with these players plus Sterry, McCann etc. There's more to life than openly declaring how correct you are, and baiting people who thought Slade could do a job...

    Robins

I'm waiting for another bickering fest to erupt, in all honesty, since the usual bait is being dangled by the usual suspects... ...is the past 18 months THAT important anymore?!

    Robins

It remains to be seen if he can actually win a promotion, or achieve something like Darren Ferguson has with Doncaster. I was gonna mention Chris Wilder, who we almost appointed before Robins 4 years ago IIRC, but seeing their promotion celebration on Goal Rush nearly made me spew my crackers...

    Woolyback

Since we all hang on his every word here, allegedly, then yes, there's a bit of Grendel in all of us... What a worrying thought...

    Woolyback

Garry Woolaston isn't it, or something like that? I used to read the comments section of the CT regularly, his were very bipolar but equally dramatic. He sounds like a 50 year old virgin who still lives at home, to be fair.

Match Thread Coventry v Peterboro. Match Thread - Saturday 8th Apr

Just spoke to my mate Steve who's an ever-present up the Ricoh, he said Turnbull especially is looking like a solid centre half at last. Said it before, and I'll say it again, a good manager can motivate average players and turn them into a hard team to beat. PUSB. Another momentum-gaining...

    Woolyback

Hur hur, if Emmerdale was set in Leicester, The Woolly Back would be the local pub. I'm wasted here.

    Bigi

Not to be pedantic here, but Reilly is a loan isn't he? Saying that, if Robins could strike a deal with Burton for him, brilliant. Can't see the lad being overly valuable, perhaps a nominal fee would do it.

    Budget constraints

If we manage to keep Stokes, Harries, Stevenson and G Thomas, I'll be pleased. Budget constraints mean a more inclined reliance on youth talent, which is actually a blessing in disguise, imo. If we also retain Beavon, Turnbull (since Robins has got him playing well again) and Jones (L2...

Match Thread Coventry v Peterboro. Match Thread - Saturday 8th Apr

I believe we all give a fuck, however those who accepted relegation as a reality some months ago have realised that the trophy is a beacon of success in a dismal, gut-wrenching season. Different fans deal with things differently; one constant is prevalent though - we are all hurting. Reality...

    50 Years

Can Robins be the new Jimmy Hill? Can we hope and dream at last? No fucking chance. :)

    Video Links

It's literally all of the videos that CCFC Media Gallery has posted, pages of them. I've tried a good 18-20 videos and all show the same "error, unable to show/display video" message upon clicking the link.

    Video Links

I'm assuming you're aware of the issue, Nick, but just in case, thought I'd let you know that all of the video posts by CCFC Media (?) contain link errors. Bah.
