Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

"My Chinese investors are deadly serious about buying CCFC..." not for nothing was he known as Bullshit Byng. Although I do recall him in 2014 telling me at Rochdale away that "Wasps can't escape financial gravity indefinitely" and he was right.

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

It would be refreshing if all parties simply sat down together and said right, everyone involved has been responsible for fucking this situation right up, let's try and find the least-worst solution all round. Something like; 1 - Wasps give up the ownership of the stadium in exchange for circa...

Wasps going into admin & the impact on CCFC

Back to the discussion on the Ricoh/CBS. If it had been built in the city centre, things would have been a different story - but a casino and hotel on the motorway slip road 5 miles north of the (let's face it, unglamorous) city centre - it smacked of the "built it and they will come" hubris of...

    Burnley Match Thread

To be fair, Burnley are one of the strongest teams in the league after several years in the Premier. I wouldn't have bet much on us today. I'd have been more worried if we had lost to Boro.

Saw Marr opening for Blondie back in May, he was fantastic. I'd have gone to this gig, all you had to do was Ask me.

    The 92 Club

89 of 92. Still need Wimbledon, Barrow and Harrogate. 40 of those grounds with CCFC not counting many old grounds e.g. Brentford or ex league teams like Chesterfield, Southend and Scunthorpe.

    10 years ago today…

I was always shocked by the degree of spite and bile he attracted from a small minority of fans - as I remember, he was a generally popular figure amongst the fanbase. A minority hated on him as a means of deflecting criticism from the owners. When he left, they did the same with Wasps, the...

What happens when you sell Turner and Juke, having allowed Westwood, Gunnar and King leave on fees - none of the 5, the spine of our team, was replaced. We were doomed from the summer and the bile that was launched at Thorn was entirely misplaced.

    10 years ago today…

I was there too, miserable day out all round. Bad pub, crap food, poor beer, knackered old stand pre-redevelopment, got soaking wet walking to the ground in the rain across a field and through some grim underpasses. Woeful game left us set up for relegation. We needed to win and we went down...

    Our best Championship points haul

Am I right that 63 points in 2005-06 is our highest post-2001 relegation points total in the Championship? If so and we get one more point then I guess that this season is officially our strongest since we came down from the Prem. Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere.
