Sorry if I missed it but what repairs does the Ricoh need that would run the bill up to £13m??? Looks in fairly decent repair as far as I can see, unlike St Andrews where half the stands are closed due to structural issues.

If all else fails could we play at the Alexander Stadium? Went for the Commonwealth Games and it's a nice enough ground, albeit the athletics track means a distance from the pitch. Problem really is the location.

Yep, the place is a poisoned chalice. Everything/everyone coming near it crumbles to dust. CCFC, Sisu, the council, Wasps and probably loads of others - it's been a disaster and the root cause is the crap location and the existence of bigger/better arena competitors in Brum. It wouldn't be so...

We did own it originally but had to sell our rights to it when we ran out of dosh - the real issue was that the club was losing millions per year, paying wages we couldn't afford whilst taking on a project far too big for us. What's really needed is some sort of regulation to prevent such...

Sure but it loses money as most of the events are fairly small beer. They struggle to sell it out for bigger events - had to cancel Bananarama a while back due to lack of sales.

Or loads of flats, they're going up everywhere especially in London. New flats basically paid for Wimbledon and Brentford to build their new grounds between the tower blocks.

Maybe it makes sense to close the Arena (i.e. the non-stadium bit) but the empty seats don't cost anything so demolishing the stadium itself makes no sense, even if we can't fill it.

I had always assumed the reason that the new stadium has never moved beyond a couple of Google Pixel images is that Sisu were playing for time and trying to give themselves leverage whilst waiting for this exact scenario i.e. Wasps insolvency in order to buy the stadium / complex. If not, then...

Do you mean that SISU wouldn't pay that sort of sum to buy the Ricoh from Wasps?
