Operation Premiership - You're the boss!!!

Some Saturday morning fun. The year is 2005 - Paul Fletcher has just been appointed managing director and you have been tasked with getting Coventry City promoted by the end of the 2007/2008 season - If you fail the consequences for Coventry City football club could be disastrous (and you're a...

    Match Thread

Given how poor we were against Worcester and the Pressley rant we were dire again tonight for 65 minutes. The Nouble substitution was crucial. Completely changed a game that was otherwise certainly heading to penalties. Good result though but shouldn't let it detract from the fact that there is...

    Abuse at Preston??

All the off field events are bigger than the fans. Plenty have boycotted Sixfields and yet SISU are still 'proceeding' with the plans for the new stadium and the Council appear to care less now than ever. If people want to spend their money and their free time going to watch football and...

    Bradford City Match Thread

(doing best Bonnie Tyler impression) Once upon a time you had hopes you would win, Now those hopes are falling apart, Nothing you can do, Cos we have got Wilson & Clarke.

    New Club Shop

Expect it to be open near the start of December close down again towards the end of January. I would almost guarantee that this will be on a temporary lease only to cash in on the Christmas period. Prove me wrong mighty owners!

    The Sixfields Fallacy

Firstly, another great victory today. Didn't go, listened on the radio. Have been to Sixfields once this season for the Orient game. One thing that is undeniable, those who are going to the 'home' games are getting to see some great matches. I'm getting sick of hearing this notion that seeing...

SP say..well aware lacking strength in depth

The players who are training away from the first team are still getting their contracted salaries. There's no saving until they've left the club & I can't see many takers for any of them, especially when they're not being put in the shop window. Seems an insane move to alienate a bunch of paid...

    The new ground

I can confirm that the planning team at Warwickshire County Council have not been approached by anybody from the club to discuss the feasibility of a new ground at any site in Warwickshire. Fans have written in to ask the question though. Warwickshire County Council are not aware of any plans.

    Ratings vs Swindon

Murphy 6 - Decent performance behind a dodgy back 4. Began to lose concentration & get anxious towards the end. Christie 6 - Average game Martin 5 - Reasonable game. Quick to put the ball into touch & invite pressure though. Cameron 1 - Laughably poor 1st half. Only gets on due to a slightly...

    Nile Ranger

My question arose from the fact that given Ranger is now not attached to a club I wondered if it would it be considered a 'transfer'. After a bit of research I believe that under an embargo we can sign players who are not attached to a club as long as they are under 17. Any wonderkids about!!

    Nile Ranger

Linked with us on loan on numerous occasions. Now out of contract. A) Could we get him (given transfer embargo) B) Would you want him? (could do with another striker but his reputation is extremely questionable)

    Fit and Proper People

Another day another drama. I can't be the only person who feels this game which has been part of our heritage has now been completely ruined. Football now feels more like WWE where the on field action is practically an afterthought! I don't care about takeovers, embargos, billionaire owners...

The Official JPT home leg tickets sales thread

Let's hope that those who've bought tickets actually turn up & are not just looking at it as a deposit towards getting a Wembley ticket.

    Ratings

I think Clarke is going to be a player who splits opinion. Personally I thought he was very effective last night. He doesn't strike me as an all action player though. He won alot of headers and held the ball up well last night but unless he scores, he will be heavily reliant on the players...

    Clarke's Goal

I thought there had to be 'daylight' (or is that an old rule now? I know we don't care but it'd be nice to get recognition from elsewhere rather then 'the winner was offside'. Implies we were lucky and as I said, takes credit away from the players.

    Clarke's Goal

TAmazing comeback last night & a great result! Even walking out the ground last night I heard loads of people taking phone calls and telling mates that 'Clarke was offside apparently'. Having watched the highlights three times already since last night I honestly don't think Clarke was offside...

    Have we got any songwriters?

Robbie Williams - Angels And through his goals he offers resurrection a playoff push and a cup run and a reason to sing this song and through the highs and lows we turn up to the Ricoh before and after SISU cos we're Coventry born and bred Forget Van Persie... Buy us McGoldrick...
