Man Utd and Newcastle won't be relegated. They have good teams and will both finish mid table I would guess.
I didn't have them to be relegated, but both could find themselves in trouble especially Newcastle.

The Newcastle manager has caused problems at each club he has managed. He got rid of their best goalscorers and brought in a striker who doesn't look like a striker. Remember his dummy when he only had Rushworth to beat? They're also fragile at the back. They've only got 4 points from their last 5 games, and they only just held on to beat Hull 2-1.

I think Manchester United will be OK, but their only win was back in August. They have the players but how about Carrick?

I still think we'll go down. The lack of depth and quality in certain areas is the biggest concern for me.

Hull's bubble has burst already, they haven't actually won a game since they beat us in late August so not sure why people are still clamouring over their start. They're a highly athletic team so were bound to cause the odd upset initially but their form will regress now opposition sides have them figured out.

The 3rd relegation place is a lottery really. Highly dependent on whether City's punishment is actually imposed this season or whether it drags over into next. Suspect it'll drag over into the next as they'll almost certainly appeal the sanctions.

So in that case I can't look much past Sunderland. With Europe, a lack of incomings and not much in terms of depth it was always going to be a very difficult season for them.

Have you got this from our 1st 4 games where we lost to the teams in 1st, 2nd and 3rd?

Pinnock and Thomas seem to have got a good partnership going in defence. Mfuni and Cherif have just come into the side and look very good. Rudoni has made the step up so far. Others will get better with experience.

My biggest concern so far has been EMC, but like others I'm not writing them off this early.

Our Starting XI with everyone fit is potentially good enough to beat the drop but it's inevitable we'll suffer injuries, drop offs in form and suspensions throughout the season and IMO we just haven't got enough in quality coming off the bench to really plug those gaps.

Not helped by Amenda and Wright being out until December and both Tchaouna and Gbono seemingly not being fancied currently.

I'm not at all convinced by our midfield either. We're exceptionally easy to play through and that's been evident in near enough every game this season.

All sides suffer injuries and suspensions. Look at Spurs 😂

Let's not write our new players off before they have a chance to show what they can do. Not fancied ATM doesn't mean not good enough. Some players need longer than others.

We've just brought our new £20m striker into the side. If he continues like he has started he will get a lot of goals. Mfuni is also just breaking into the side. Things are looking good.

Yeah, and most sides at this level have PL ready squads beyond just a half decent Starting XI. A Villa side largely made up of fringe players made us look amateurish in the cup as a case in point.

I'm not writing the new players off - as it stands they're just clearly not fancied? I'm sure they'll get an opportunity at some point but I find it somewhat concerning that they're not even featuring or being included in the match day squad when the likes of EMC and to some extent BTA have looked visibly out of place at this level thus far.

Cherif is clearly very talented but he'll need to be managed this season. On the face of it he's a very hot and cold type player so I'm not all that confident he will bag 'lots of goals' this season but he'll definitely come up in moments.

A great performance starting for the 1st time in the Prem. Got a penalty and a very good goal. Kept getting into good positions. He now needs game time just like others do.

We didn't spend £20m on him for no reason. If he keeps getting into good positions and we keep getting the ball to him he will score goals.

Personally I think we have good enough cover right across the pitch with the possible exception of keeper. We might have to count one or two who can cover multiple positions.

Other than striker where we're very top heavy I don't agree at all.

At CB we're thin with Amenda being out long term. Another injury and it's Lati starting if we deploy a 3ATB formation.

Dasilva is our only recognised LB. Mfuni is more of a CB than a LB, albeit technically he's an option there and he's probably talented enough to make a job of it. However, that would then leave us even lighter at CB.

We're very limited out wide with Gbono and Tchouma seemingly not in the picture for the time being. Neither EMC or BTA have really shown anything to suggest they're up to playing at this level IMO. Despite having a reasonable cameo vs Newcastle I've thought Sakamoto has struggled as well.

Behind Rudoni we have Hamer who was a complete waste of funds.

I'm not at all convinced about our midfield either. Yirenkyi is talented but he clearly needs someone alongside him much more assured than Grimes as there's a lot of elements to his game which are still quite visibly raw. I don't think that someone is Onyeka, Torp or Eccles.

Midfield is my worry and why I think we'll be relegated unless we can rectify it in January. Grimes has the brains but not the legs, Yirenkyi has the legs but not the brains (yet)

Can't agree with this bit. How many wide players do you want? Being 'out of the picture' just means you can't pick them all. FL et all see them on a daily basis, and Gboho only joined us late in the day. I agree that the defence is only a suspension/injury away from being light - but I suspect that is the same with quite a few clubs out of 25 man squads. KKH back is a huge positive. and Armenda aside, we're pretty much ok (Wright - we have reasonable cover for atm). I get we may still go down, but I am happy with our squad strength. If we stay up, we can hopefully establish ourselves a bit more (a more athletic Grimes would be high on my list, together with a bigger quicker JDS)

Sunderland (or Man City if their punishment doesn't drag on until next season)
Crystal Palace
Hull
I'd be worried for Sunderland if Brobbey misses many games. He's a beast.

I recall some at the start of the season predicting they'd struggle with the amount of fixtures and it's looking like that might be true!
They're also playing us between two cup games which should hopefully work in our favour.

Given the rumours this week is 'Gbono' a pun or a typo? 😝

Don't expect yous to go down. From what I've seen yous have looked quite unlucky, especially with the finishing, definitely deserve more than 6 points currently. I like the chances that you're giving yourself and there's real quality there.

Hull were always going to get found out. You can't get away with football that agricultural for long against Premier League managers.

It worked for a few games while nobody had tapes on them and were still rusty but now they have proper scouting they have been completely found out and no plan B.

I think the'll be relegated comfortably in the end.

If the Man City punishment drags into next season, and they get relegated next year because of it and not this year, that causes even more headaches for the league with whoever takes the remaining relegation spot this year pushing for compensation. It’s a mess

It was easy to see coming. It isn't just the constant extra midweek games but also all the extra travelling abroad. This month they have a game every 3 days, 2 of these games are away in Europe. We play 1 game a week. We will be fresh. They will be knackered by HT.

I know it's a squad game, but do they try to win in Europe or in the Prem? Or do they play weakened in both? Then you have the more games the more chances of injuries.

I can't see it going well for them.

I didn't say I want more wingers, I simply want to see the ones we've invested tens of millions of £££'s into actually feature as the existing ones aren't anywhere near good enough based on performances thus far.

If they're not ready then they're not ready. Remember how hard some players found the jump to the Championship? The Prem is levels above this.

It's best to give players the time they need instead of putting players in that would be a liability.

It’s clearly not an ability thing.

It wasn't an ability thing when we were supposed to have wasted the Gyokeres and Hamer money. It was mainly those players that won the Championship.

Not sure what result we would want tonight. Can't stomach a Ipswich win...but that woukd be best..as they will be well clear of relegation battle. Lets keep forest down below us.

Not sure what's best for the long term. In theory, you'd expect Forest to finish above Ipswich, but I do think Ipswich have a decent squad, so not sure they'll be down there.
