Give or take a couple of players we should start the team we want to start vs Forest. Play Gboho, Tchaouna, Yirenkyi at least ffs. Stick Cherif in there too. Just get the players in or i'll lose my mind. If i see Grimes, BTA and co my heart will pack in.
I was responding to a comment from someone saying Simms would obviously play tomorrow. This is a forum to discuss stuff and if there is a rumour (not mine but widely suggested by others her) that Simms is being iced then why not flag the issue that could cause if it is true?If no one knows what's going on in the background, why suggest a rumour as the potential reason Simms wasn't included in the squad?
I've booked Thursday off so I can stay later to clap.
Good point, does it go to extra time and pens?
Wembley again thenJust a clap off I think.
(Straight to pens)

Take the Friday off too if Hamer's on corners.
We’d make the Conference League on that grounds, and could probably win it with the shitters in itWin the League Cup and get relegated?
So if we have sold 25k 3k are villa so 22k home fans that's great support, like people have said most teams don't sell out for cup games.Go back a few years we wouldn't get 22k home fans against any team.

Is there any Kudos up for grabs based on this one's outcome,no I don't think so but I'm up for it.22k fans for essentially what’s likely to be a reserve fixture isn’t terrible. If this was an FA Cup 3rd round tie it would be sold out.
Unless I’ve missed something, I don’t understand all the comments about Hamer needs to be fit. He surely had a pre season at Sheffield Utd and was playing in friendlies for them. He’s been training full time with us for several weeks now. Why wouldn’t he be fit?I'd be tempted with thus but if Hamer isn't fit enough to start then i'd give Rudi another go in his best position
Because his conditioning is notoriously bad.Unless I’ve missed something, I don’t understand all the comments about Hamer needs to be fit. just look at him, he's pretty out of shape compared to the rest of the teamUnless I’ve missed something, I don’t understand all the comments about Hamer needs to be fit. I'm not so sure on this one matter.Because his conditioning is notoriously bad.
He barely was fit enough for Sheff U let alone a Prmeier league team
Forest played on Saturday. We played Sunday and are then playing tomorrow. You might give your first 11 a bit of time together but he won’t hand Forest a clear advantage playing them for 90 mins in a meaningless cup game, especially when some are still coming to terms with the demands of top flight football.I think we should start with what Frank considers his 1st eleven, I think they need the game time together and the opportunity to bounce back from Brighton. I don't see the point in mixing up the team and then reverting back against Forest. I doubt Villa will field there first eleven so it could be a chance to progress. Would be happy to make wholesale changes at half time though if it is clearly not working or by any chance we have the game sown up already!

And 25+ years ago, Villa only saw us as a minor irritation (which they overcame by generally buying our players!) - the rivalry only really went one way from our side.
I don't think we got that for many games (if any) in the championship playoff season under MR and that was with the larger away allocations. So if we have sold 25k 3k are villa so 22k home fans that's great support, like people have said most teams don't sell out for cup games.Go back a few years we wouldn't get 22k home fans against any team.
I take your point but a lot of the team are off the back of playing 2 games a week for most of the season so I don't think fitness would be an issue. I imagine he is more likely to field a different starting 11 as I don't think he views the league cup as high priority and like you suggest, perhaps they may need some recuperation time. I was thinking with three week break after the forest game there is plenty of time to recharge but that is off course after the Forest game which we would like to win. I guess I was thinking psychologically more than physically but I'm pretty sure your suggestion is more likely to be what materialises.Forest played on Saturday. Meaningless? It is our best chance of winning something. Most of the players have played a maximum of 4 games and have 3 weeks off after Saturday so can't be tired.Forest played on Saturday. Lets be real, we have no realistic chance of winning the carabao cup. Staying in the top flight is by a very long way the priority for the season and most here would agree we have 11 or less premier quality players. Some of those have just joined the squad, most missed pre-season and take Cherif as an example, was clearly blowing after 30 mins. The rest are clearly struggling with the pace of the prem. 3 games in 6 days is a lot, that’s why the top teams have quality duplicates in all positions. We do not.
