no it doesn't as not every player will be trying to head the ball and impacting the positioning of a cb
If the player is on the pitch they will be affecting the decision making and positioning of a defender as they'll have to be aware of where that player is and what might happen if they leave him. People like Henry used to deliberately stand offside because it would make defenders uncertain what to do.

IMO that means any player in an offside position is automatically offside as it will have had an effect on someone's positioning and decision making.
In practice it usually means physical contact/proximity to an opponent or being in the line of sight for a keeper.

Of the other 19 teams, who is going down with us?
I see you have decided we are making the drop already. Were 4 games into our first season back .One win away from being out of the bottom 3 .I know that 1 win in proving hard to get but have faith our first goal will come could well be a big deflection and might even be our first win as well but when it comes enjoy.
There are still 102 point for us to play for trust me this team will put things right don't lose faith.
Just enjoy the ride.

I’ve tried to keep positive but the national media (and every man and his dog) saying Coventry are already gone on Monday morning, coupled with Doug King’s balcony row with Dean Austin at full time and how well Ipswich and Hull are doing…. has kicked any hope out of me.

We could still be centurions

A strong ipswich side being demolished at home by arsenal , they have serious defensive issues .. 14 conceded in 5 games

I know we conceded 5 the other day but with 11 men i doubt that happens

Its ipswichs second string isnt it?

Gyokeres looks like he’s completely done at Arsenal. If he can’t perform in a game like this I doubt he’ll be getting many minutes in the league. Off to Italy or Saudi in January I reckon.

League this season is so competitive, I wouldn't write yous off fully yet but you need some real tactical tweaks
Too bad there's no Wolves

Fuck me win a few games and you think you’re invincible. I wouldn’t write us off either considering there’s still another 34 games to play. Bell end.

ha , so it is

I still think their defence is a huge issue
Oh it absolutely is

We have 4 CBs and the 2 shit ones started today

Overall none of those are our nailed on starters minus Greaves who I could see getting dropped which would bring in Ouattara or Furlong
Florentino and Flemming may start games as well but not nailed on

People have been saying that they've had a great start, and have been using them as a yardstick to beat our window with, but to me it looks like a couple of late wins (one v 10) are papering over the cracks of a very lopsided transfer window.

They've undoubtedly brought in attacking talent and will score goals, but they'll concede absolute bucketfuls. They've spent a fortune, but still look extremely weak in very important parts of the pitch.

Sadly we look extremely weak in important parts of the pitch too - goalkeeper, defence, midfield and attack. Though I guess you could say that makes ours a more balanced transfer window.
