A bit too dramatic. It isn't ass kissing to say Hull have had a good start. They have. I feel like they are better than Ipswich, but of course things will likely change as the season goes on. Maybe for both of them.

Our fate is in our own hands. We aren't relegated either. There's clearly pressure to get a win tomorrow already, but it's too early to shit the bed. Some teams acclimatise quickly, others take time. Our fixtures also haven't helped.

To go to Chelsea and be the by far the better team on Xg (at a team i think will be top 3 goalscorers in prem and restrict them to a 0.69 xg is phenomenal achievement).

Their back 3 and keeper have been simply phenomenal. By tommorow they may still have the best defence in the league.

I got laughed at when I said their back are fucking immense against United and Us and I'm saying that because I think no matter what we will stay up. And we cause alot of teams alot of problems at home.

They way they defended against us didn't give us sniff. Very impressive team.

Pathetic to call it luck. 8 points from 3 teams in Europe and us. Fair play.

Ironically they only win games with lower xG and fail to win when they get more.

Jakirovic is just save scumming every week

Anyone know if Chelsea fans have fucked the season off after not beating Hull?

Or is just our lot that do that?

Agree with the general point but Chelsea are very open, conceded high xG at home to Leeds the other night as well

The "squad valuation" argument doesn't hold up for me anymore. Hull and Ipswich are getting points on the board, with Hull proving you don't need a billion pound squad to pick up points against the top sides. While our performance against City was an improvement, I still have reservations about the way we’re playing, we lose the ball cheaply, often ball watch in defence, and lack composure in front of goal. Hull and Ipswich are putting chances away. We need to settle down in defence and start converting chances starting tomorrow, no more excuses if we intend to survive.
Both Hull and Ipswich break with pace and numbers. We pass it to Grimes, go sideways and repeat hoping someone can find some space. With our squad I'd be playing Gus in a central role and tell forwards to push on waiting for his vinegar stroke of a pass.

Chelsea defence is very poor and Caicedo has been a big miss in midfield. Problem for them is to win most games they will need to score a minimum of twice. They have the capacity to do that but they won't make it easy for themselves.
Liverpool's weaknesses apparent today too . Very poor in both full back positions , no pace in the centre backs and cdm's . They're going to concede plenty and were lucky to keep a clean sheet today.

I think chelsea are a good side going forward but they have concedes 9 in 4 .
It's their midfield, gives the defence zero cover

I can't see De Zerbi lasting long at this rate.

That would’ve been goalless if they carried on all night.

Their defence is appalling. Actually a few are this season, Ipswich have looked really bad. Sunderland were shite away at Ipswich, comically so.

Le Bris set the template for PL survival. Play totally shit football with everyone behind the ball . It's the way to stay up.
