This was blatantly obvious!! Yet we persisted with wingers and one striker in the box.

Its driving me mad...OK but to not change it...then took EMC off and play EMC left wing. Its a joke!

Watch everyone else take heed and learn from how Hull play.

It's too late Frank!! It was obvious how they were gonna set up. The fucking homework wasn't done.

It was obvious to every football fan doesn't take a genius to work out tactics were woefull.

To be fair we had 3 excellent chances to score.
T will be disappointed he didn't take at least one of the two that he had.
 
The day and the game reminded me so much of Southampton at home 99 first game of the season. Fellow struggler, for the most part we were pretty OK but absolutely never looked like scoring. Saints got the late goal from Ostenstad in the 85th minute, and that was that.

Robbie Keane arrived a week or so later and changed the season around.

The main concern I have is that we don't have the money for that kind of a game-changer left. Will it be Cherif? I have no idea based on his few minutes vs Plymouth.

Anyone know where the fuck he was yet?

Yep Keane turned that season around. We're more than one player away from doing that unfortunately.

It was the same game against them as last year, except they scored a goal this time.

We can't play against a low-block, and the only way we were winning this game was by scoring an early goal and forcing them out.

It was terrible, but it was predictably terrible. Not that that's an excuse.
 
To respond to my own question:

“Cherif is getting fit,” said Lampard. “He’s not had many minutes or a proper pre-season so we need to get him fit.”

This seems mad a player of that age and value couldn't be involved at all due to fitness.

It's not nonsense to say you weren't at the game while pretending you were.

A few observations from yesterday:
- Thomas’ distribution has not got better. He gives the ball away too much and it breaks momentum. Need to have amenda and Pinnock as the two in a back 4 now
- Rudoni started well but faded - got between the lines twice in first 15mins. He will help us more when his fitness improves. We need him drifting into space as without that we are a bit predictable
- think upfront is an issue. A £9m striker is not going to keep us up. Awoniyi held it up ok but slowed the game too much. Maybe lacked support but he cannot be our main striker.

When I was walking out of the ground yesterday I was moaning about the lack of running, so I’ve had a quick look at the actual running stats. Grimes is getting a fair bit of stick, but he’s covering about 11.7km per 90, which is right up there for us. Yirenkyi is around 11.5km too. The sprint numbers surprised me even more. Rudoni is doing plenty of sprinting, and Mason-Clark and Tchaouna are up there as well. But yesterday it still felt like everything was happening in front of Hull. Awoniyi would hold it up, but instead of someone going beyond him and giving them something to worry about, we’d just end up playing it backwards and starting again. The wide players seemed to be coming short more than they were trying to spin in behind. That might be the real issue. We’re doing the miles, and we’re doing some sprinting, but not many of those runs are actually useful. Where are the runs that stretch teams, drag defenders about, or give the man on the ball a proper option? If people were making the runs, then Grimes would look more effective. His game is getting on the ball and keeping it moving. But he is looking up at the moment and everyone is stood in front of a packed defence wanting it into feet.

No I updated the block plugin. I don't reply to all of your posts, just the nonsense ones. (Granted, there's a few).

Isn't it you who follows people around pretending you know stuff about them? (Which you don't). Pretending you're at games, pretending you're a woman, pretending you know stuff. I'd say that's odd.

As I've said, you're shit at what you try to do.

He held it up but had zero support or options, not sure what he was meant to do with it.

Yet theres clearly enough people on here who agree with me about football things to show its not complete nonsense. Go back and look at my posts of the last 12 hours. plenty of people agreeing.

My opinion clearly has credence because people agree with my posts. You have a very surface level opinion on football so i dont expect you to understand.

What's telling about somebody getting automatically blocked because they make tens (if not hundreds) of accounts? It's the same as when people have innocently forgotten their password and had it happen.

That's the thing. You don't know anything about people but try some weird games to drop things into posts as if you know. 😂 Is it meant to be threatening?

Trying to get away from the fact you made up you went to the game then 😂

He wasnt automatically blocked was he as he made posts before you logged on and blocked him. Its pathetic.

You also read peoples dm's. Totally weird.

Pre match was far better before, it's now just a copy and paste across all the stadiums that group have, it was a carbon copy of Arsenal. losing the identity a bit, the pre match with the players songs should come back.

Yep really good analysis on MOTD, they even showed that Hull just let us have the ball, and when in crossing positions wanted us cross the ball and put little-to-no pressure on the crosser because they know they can defend the box.

And when they do win it back they attack quick on the counter attack.
