That's fair. The new boys have messed up our confidence and play. Tat's produced more problems in 5 minutes that Taccoma did in 70.
Yirenkyi is a real prospect but far too raw and generates very little. He needs to benched and earn the shirt. We deserved nothing today. Our playing style looks fragmented all over the place. Did we even had a really good chance to score at home in all 90 minutes? No hiding from this. Man City next is now a frightening prospect. As for Grimes...thought he was OK today but Oneyeka was a miss as his backbone.
Frank has a lot to consider.

It’s simple. Their gameplan is the same as last season with the same personnel, we have tried something new with new personnel.

Even that Derby team got a result first game at home.

Its crazy. We were much more set up and PL ready than Hull, who only got here by default that they got to play boro and not Southampton, yet theyve done a number on us today. We've regressed so much over the summer. Its fucking unbelievable.

Yeh people begging for 'Saka' on are imagining him against some dopey Championship fullback, which tbf today was the closest he'll get to facing one all season and he was still awful.
 
We just looked a bit half cooked. Never looked like breaking them down consistently.

No idea why we didn’t have Milan covering for the goal though, didn’t heed the warning just before that.

Regardless of the performance the result is a killer.

Worst side we’ll play all season and they came and did a job on us. Not like we had any clear chances either.

Absolute kick in the bollocks of a result, especially with Man City away next. It'll be 0pts from 3 games.
I think we have to bring another 2 or 3 in before the window closes and sell some of the players who are clearly not prem standard.
 
I get Grimes is our captain and was key to last season but we need to look at the opposition.

We don’t need him sitting into a back 3 against hull at home.

I assume he thought oinnock could be eraye more offence from the back

He did actually do a good fwd pass that led focus getting the corner that torp fucked up from
 
Spent a lot on Tchaouna but he’s not gonna be causing enough problems imo. Just another player afraid of taking on his player.

If we’ve spent that on Cherif to be a project player I’ll be really pissed off.

Our worst players today were all existing players
 
We looked so much more threatening through the middle but kept uselessly volleying it out to the wings. Our wingers couldn't get through their defence and when they did, every cross was easily nullified.

We've known we'd be in the PL since March. Is this really, really the very best we could do?

But Hull know their limitations and set up and play accordingly
 
I've said all summer that Grimes isn't the type of midfielder you need in the PL. Hull didn't even press us, just sat in a mid block and then hit us on the break.

Hull played like they didn't against Man United, sit back, soak up pressure and crosses then play on the counter attack.

All the stats will say were were the better team but they arguably had the 2 beat chances of the game.
