I feel like some of the context is way off. You don't write players off after one or two games so it is important to remember that, but we have failed to beat Hull at home, and we are in the Premier League now. It's a shit result which reflects a lukewarm performance.
There are players we have signed who have cost us a lot of money and frankly their output wasn't good enough. Yirenkyi was poor first half but grew into it. Tchaouna seems to have divided opinion but I don't see what he really offered for most of it. Some of the old guard are stepping up, others who looked top draw last year are struggling at this level. MvE and Grimes being the most obvious.
It's all relative as it is very early in the season so it hopefully won't be relevant in a few weeks, but it is hard to sit here and listen to people say certain players were good when they simply weren't. If we want to stay up we have to do better than today. There's a few players in the staring 11 that were underwhelming and couldn't argue if they were replaced for the next match.
