Yeh Neumann isn't even Birminghams best CB and I wouldn't want Klarer either tbh. Very strange, their transfer approach appears to be very scattergun.

Tbf, they probably weren't planning for getting promoted, so it's understandable that it's all going to be a bit ad-hoc.

Hull's lineup for today's friendly is ahhheem, familiar.
 
Didn't realise they'd signed Hjerto-Dahl. Would've like him, but as a development player.

Definitely. I think they think he's what Yirenkyi actually is though. Reckon he'll be way off it to start with, especially in a poor team. Doubt he'd make our bench most weeks honestly at this stage.

To me they don't seem to be getting a squad ready for this season as they couldn't afford it but are getting ready for next season back in the Championship.

Which isn’t a terrible idea, it’s what Ipswich tried to do in 24/25. Hull just don’t have the resources to attract good players and I’m not entirely convinced they’d win the Championship with their squad this season or even last.

Getting promoted has sorted out their money problems. With not having any players that could make the step up they wouldn't be able to build a Prem side let alone a Prem squad.

It also sorted out Luton with giving them the money to finish of the ground… it ended with relegation to L1.

I don’t think Hull be as bad people make out because Jakirovic is a good manager, the league will be too strong for them.

They need to do a fair bit more. They haven't brought in much quality yet. They've gone for quantity over quality so far. We've signed half the amount of players for nearly the same amount of money.

I actually agree with you. I don't think they'll be bad bad, should be much better than their last incarnation, but i prefer what we are doing. If your best signings are players not wanted by Fulham its all a bit meh. Fulham could well be one of the clubs we need to gun for this year.
Saying that it sounds like business far from done. Ipswich will have a better chance than Hull anyway. Hull are going to be laughable 😆

Maeda will play on the left, Emersonn is back-up so we’ll be after another striker as well to start. Doubt Abraham happens, Villa apparently prefer a permanent whereas we want him on loan.

I think the 2 players from Fulham is decent business by them. But the rest not so sure.

If you play Maeda on the left in the PL you are stupid and you aren't playing 24m for someone to be a back up.

Maeda’s primary position is off the left and he’s played there all of pre-season. Sticking him up front when he’s 5ft 8 would be a choice…

Emersonn will be the back up behind a more established option. Hence the links to Abraham, Isidor etc
